Yay!

My kitty has come to live with me. Momma made me be real gentle at first because he was limping. She said that he hurt himself outside one day.

Then we moved to a new place. I like it a whole bunch. It's a lot bigger, and I get to watch the birds from the patio because there are a lot of trees.

Lucy scared me once, but there was pizza involved, and I learned that you don't get between Lucy and pepperoni.

But Rozko, He's one of my best friends. We play and play and play when we see each other. Mom says that together we have more energy than the rest of the family combined.

Neighborhood pups

One of my neighbors is a chocolate lab whose a bit younger than I am. She is a lot of fun, but she has a friend who is a chow mix, and I'm a little scared of her. The chow is so much older than I am, and something about her reminds me that I am not always top dog.

Still, she lets me play, so what do I care?

Another neighbor has a dachsund puppy and she squeels in excitement every time I see her. We got to play once, but the puppy's mother is scared that she's too small for it. So all we do now is talk to each other when I see her.

Then yesterday, I discovered that there's a newly weaned puppy down the way. Mom says that her daddy weighed more than 100 pounds... I don't know how much that is, but it sounds like a lot. I want to play with her so much, but Mom says I can't until she's a little older because I don't understand that you can't play rough with the little little ones.
I don't understand why not?

Mommy and Daddy are so nice

They take care of these kitties that no one else wants. Even though they say that they can't afford to adopt them all, they feed them everyday and give them clean water.
A local trap, fix and release group has taken care of the cats so that there won't be an ever increasing number of them.

One of them is my best friend, though. His name is Hunter, and he hangs out on my patio with me. We play wrestle, and he rubs my cheeks and neck. Sometimes I get a little rough with him, and mom makes me come inside.

Because I spend time with him though, mommy and daddy are extra-careful with getting me checked for something called worms when I go to the vet.
Mommy says that she wishes that Shadowe liked cats, so that we could let Hunter live with us.

Today it's all wet so my kitty is spending all his time with me on the patio, but I'm not sure that I want to go out there.

Home!

Yesterday was a huge day for me.

I spent the weekend at the doggie hotel and I played chase and tag with a mini dachsund and a few other puppies. I miss the doxie now that I'm home, but it's good to have my chair.

The sitter gave me a bath and clipped my nails before I went home though.

Then daddy showed up, and I howled with delight when I smelled him coming. When I got in the car, I danced around in the backseat.

Mommy came out and met me in the parking lot when I got home and I gave her lots of kisses. The house was safe, and I guess the cat guarded it while I was gone.

Then my uncle came over with two people I hadn't met before. They brought me a new chair! It smells funny though, so I'm still using the old one.

Today I'm mostly just napping because it's raining and I don't want to go play in it.

Not the hotel?!

Mom says that tomorrow I have to go to the doggie hotel so that she and dad can have a brief vacation. At least there are treats there.

on the other hand, mom said something about my getting a bath and such while I'm there. I hate baths.

Happy Day

Mom cleaned house this morning - she picked up her books and such. She's always reading something.

Hey! Lookit that, our neighbor's dog was outside a moment ago. I want to go play with her, she's so tiny and cute. But right now I have my chair, and I don't want to leave it.

I'll just chase my tail right where I'm at - that's always fun!
