 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: May 10th 1998
Likes: Loved playing frisbee, going for walks, baths, riding in the car, chocolate ice cream cones, and her Daddy...

Pet-Peeves: Being bothered while sleeping

Favorite Toy: her basketball

Favorite Food: pretty much anything!

Favorite Walk: down to the school nearby and around the park w/ the ducks

Best Tricks: catching the frisbee

Arrival Story: Kita began staying with my Mom when my brother moved to an apartment. He really couldn't offer her the stability she needed, and she quickly became a huge presence in my Mom's life and her walking partner.

Bio: January of 2006 Kita presented with a bloated stomach, my Mom was scared because she thought it could be due to eating and an intestinal blockage like our other dog had. She rushed her to the ER and they determined the bloating was due to blood in and around her stomach. They couldn't determine a cause without exploratory surgery - they found cancer over many of her organs and Kita's Daddy decided the most humane thing for her was to go peacefully while already under anesthesia.
We really thought she would be coming home that day and getting a bath, we had no idea she was that sick.
We love and miss her dearly as she has left such a gaping hole in our lives...

Forums Motto: I love my toys, and my Daddy!

Hi again! It's me, Kita! Kita Marita!
Well, I wish I was writing under better circumstances. Helmet, my kitty brother, has joined us at the bridge. My Auntie hasn't been doing too well, and I was pretty sad at first too. Helmet joined us on Thursday Sept 17th sometime between 2 and 5 PM. As always, we knew immediately of his arrival, and were at the Bridge waiting for him as he crossed over.
So, Seeger, me, Boone, Pepsi and Spook all gathered to welcome him. Auntie, I just wanted you to know that Helmet is better than ever! He missed Boone so much and Spook and he are really getting to know each other. As you know, Helmet is such a lover, he mothers everyone here - everyone loves him! I honestly can see how you're having such a hard time letting him go. He talks about you daily, and visits you (although I'm not sure you've realized it). He loved you deeply and wanted me to tell you that he will love you and be with you forever; we will see you again!
That's it for now; we hear that brother Bacio has cancer and is undergoing chemo. I can't believe it's the same cancer I had! You just really caught it early; so he will get a chance at a better recovery. I know I hid my illness so well until it was too late. I just didn't want anyone to hurt like I was. I loved you all so much.
As always, we will be here keeping an eye out for our brothers (and word has it - a new sister? comes our way).
Until then, know that we love you and are with you every day! Just keep thinking of us!
Love,
Kita and the gang at the Rainbow Bridge

Hello from the Bridge. I miss my human family! Dad, I know we didn't get to see each other before I went to the Bridge, but just know that I am OK. Grandma took good care of me after you left. Auntie D and Bacio came up and we went with walks with Grandma and played frisbee! But, I just wasn't feeling good there the last couple of months.
OK, enough of the sad stuff. I am having such a great time with Seeger, what a jumper! I can see that he certainly lives up to his reputation! Sometimes we go over to see Boone and Spook - and we play in the meadow with them. But, they could sit in one place and sniff forever, so we tend to get bored nap! I love napping in the sun in a meadow full of flowers so far you can't see the end of them.
What's most amazing about this place is that you can go anywhere in a relatively short amount of time! We've been to the ocean and played in the waves and swam! We went to the mountains and played in the snow (and you know I love to play in the snow!).
The only that is really missing is my Daddy! I know I will see him again, but in the meanwhile I will watch for any new arrivals of my family, and make them feel at home when it's their time to come.
