Arrival Story:
Rubens arrived at the Animal Welfare Society in West Kennebunk last week after being rescued with the rest of his brood from a Tennessee pound. Spent the first week in Maine being neutered and having a hernia operation, which kind of reminds me of a week-end I spent in Vegas years ago, but I won't go into that.

Bio:
Rubens is named after The Flemish baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens, (b. June 28, 1577, d. May 30, 1640). He is a mixed breed of Leopard Cur / Australian Shepherd. Big brother Bogie is acclimating to the new arrival well, i.e. Bogie has not eaten him yet. He has tried to herd the cats which the big cat put a quick kibosh on.
