Ever seen that people movie, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom"?
The week before Meemee and Doggie Daddy put the Christmas Tree up, there was plenty of discussion going on. I distinctly remember Doggie Daddy saying, "We will just have to skip the tree this year, because you know that Starbuck will knock it down and destroy all the ornaments!"
Leave it to that dastardly boy dog to doom our sacred temple to Christmas!!
But my Meemee stuck to her guns like all strong women of power do, and of course me being the reigning princess here, I stood right there behind her on all fours, while she said, "Well if he destroys my favorite ornament, he will spend Christmas in a new dog house, because I'll make sure Santa packs him up on his sleigh!"
well, maybe she wasn't quite that angry or strong, but WE still got our way!
and Yeah, we got our beautiful twinkly lighted tree with lots of beautiful silver glittery ornaments and oh everything just smelled so wonderful and looked so yummy when Meemee made the Christmas dinner. I didn't know if we would get anything special to eat, because usually that rascal eats everything before anyone else can get to it, but as it turned out, Meemee and Doggy Daddy went away one day and when they came back they brought in a bag that smelled so tastey I could smell it before they ever came in the door. Meemee took out a small sample for me before she put it in the frig. Oh it was so sweet and yummy and just melted right in my mouth. Of course the rascal had to ruin it by jumping up and down and doing his acrobatics or we might have had more than a sample that day. Luckily it came out again on Christmas day for our special dinner. Doggy Daddy shouted , Praise the Lord and pass the honeybaked and we all ate lots of goodies and more of that special tasting melt in your mouth goodness! Yum Yum... Thank goodness Meemee and Doggy Daddy didnt let the rascal ruin Christmas dinner or our beautiful holiday tree! Oh and Meemee wanted me to say that I got some very nice toys from one of her Michigan friends... yes they were, but of course then the rascal had to slobber on them! I give up! A princess' work is never done--what a peasant!
