her mommy!! she is very co-dependent. the beach, the snow, bacon cheeseburgers, trips to the pet store, going to Three Dog Bakery on Sundays, sleeping on top of clothes when they first come out of the dryer. FOOD!
Her kitty brother, Jake Ryan. Being away from mommy. When someone, dog or person is sitting in her spot on the couch--she'll cry until you move! Flies! Freaks out if there's one around her! I have to kill it and then show it to her after so she'll relax.
not really into toys. but when she decides to play with one for 2 minutes it's usually her wubba or her big pink fluffy ball or brand new tennis balls
Anything!!! She is a Ridgeback after-all. If I had to pick a fave it would be Cheeseburgers. Oh and bacon. She goes nuts! Her sister's food.
To a restaurant so she can eat! Huntington Dog Beach and hiking. the snow. The Promenade...since Three Dog Bakery is there.
She is almost human like. I swear. She understands so many words. She really tries to figure things out. She talks alot too. She sings. Catches a cookie off her nose. High 5. Take a bow. Are you shy? making me laugh
Always wanted a Ridgeback. Love the personality. Searched and searched for the perfect Ridgeback. Almost thought I was never going to have one! But then I saw her picture and I knew instantly she was going to be my baby! Her breeder was in Canada. She was 11 weeks old. She was already spoken for but the people had just lost their dog and decided they couldn't handle a puppy so soon. It was fate. Truly. I think Brody was born to be my dog. I know it sounds crazy but I really believe it. The bond we have is incredible. So at 11 weeks, Brody flew out to CA from Canada on Jan. 9 2002 and she has been my red shadow ever since!!! I will never have another dog like Brody. Smartest dog I've ever known.
Brody's older sister, Lucky, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January of 2007. She was 10 1/2 years old. She was a pitbull/basenji mix. Brody was missed her very much. Everyday she would look for her. So we decided to add another baby to the family. That would be Kayden, an 8 week old Great Dane. She wasn't too crazy about sharing her Mama with a new puppy but now they're pals. They sleep together and play everyday....even though Kayden is now 9 months and MUCH bigger than Brody. Brody also shares her mommy with a kitty brother, Jake Ryan. She doesn't really like him though. He's kind of the Alpha in the family and likes to throw his 'weight' around. She's jealous of him too. She won't hurt him but she does like to chase him away if he gets too close to 'her' mama! Brody is my big 83lb baby! She is definitely a mama's girl. She won't let anyone take her for a walk unless I'm going too. And even then she'll keep turning around to find me and make sure I'm coming too. Ever try to make a 83lb dog do something they don't want to do? It's near impossible. She loves her Grandma (who gives her too many cookies!) and her Auntie Liv (who SPOILS her ROTTEN at times) , and her Uncle Cody (loves to give him kisses!). Loves Hannah, Rocky and the rest of the gang at Three Dog Bakery. We go every Sunday and they spoil her rotten. She is very aloof with people she hasn't known since she was about 4 months old. I guess in her mind if you weren't there from the beginning then you're not that important. But if you have a cookie, well then she's in love with you until you're out of cookies! She has lots of cousins whom she loves and they are all listed on Dogster....Kallie, Harley, Callisto, Oliver, Hudson and Hayley.
She's a peacekeeper too. If I get the least bit upset she is right there in a second. If she just hears me sniffle..she is at my side licking me and being all wiggly. I can't get mad around her either. Ever. She is so sensitive. She'll start licking me until I have to pay attention to her and laugh. As soon as she sees me smile then she's fine. I can't even curse around her. If she hears any choice 4-letter words come out my mouth...BOOM she's there...calming me down. And forget about road rage...if someone cuts me off I can't yell because then Miss Perfect here gets so upset. She's good for me though. I'll never have high blood pressure with her around! LOL And if I ever get hurt and say ow she's there. She's definitely like my own therapy dog without the professional training. She's very much the Princess in my house and knows how to get what she wants. She's my Miss Brody Perfection. And I love her to death!
