Hey puppals, Rootbeer here.
Well let me tell you all that my sister Mandi & I have now been here with our new mommy & Daddy & other 2 sisters for over a year now. I am such the lucky golden. I remember a year ago, my sis & I were running the streets of Corona California with blisters on our paws until that big scary looking white truck pulled up and cornered us and then put me and sis in a small cage together. We were cramped, hurting and didn't know what was going on with us. At least we ran away from the abuse we were getting at the other place that was suppose to be home.
We were at the pound maybe 2 days, then this pretty lady walked over to our cage. You could saddness in her eyes (we found out later her best friend a golden named Brandi passed away), but we sat there all excited as to let her know we wanted her.
She walked away and then we were sad. The next day she came back and they took us to a gated area with grass and that same lady was back sitting in there waiting for us. We got up all in her face, licking her and letting her touch us. She started crying and we didn't do anything to hurt her and then she said to us, "You know, if it wasn't for my Brandi girll coming to me in my flower garden and telling me to come here, I would still be in my bed. I have 2 other goldens at home I hope you get along with. I don't know why Brandi wants me to have you two come live with us, but she said to come here and they will be there waiting for me. So I guess its you two."
Wow! poor lady for losing her golden, but yippeee for my sis and I cause we were going together to a new home. Then she was gone!!!!! Wait, what about us? you forgot to get us lady!!!! Well then 2 days later she was back and we came to where we are now. The best home any golden or two could live. Mommy and daddy are the best. She tells me all the time I remind her of her Brandi girl, even though I'm a boy, I take it as a compliment. Brandi seemed important in my mommies life and so mommy loves me because Brandi told her to come get us. I can never thank Brandi enough for telling mommy that. I know we gave mommy a really hard time this first year, but she just gave us more love until we had so much love inside us, we started to behave. she never gave up on me and my sister. I will Mandi tell you how bad she was in her journal, and I just followed my sister. That was wrong of me I know now. Now I sleep right next to mommy everynight. she spoons me and puts her arm around me and I feel so safe, so loved and so protected from everything. I am one happy happy golden and so is my sister.
well gotta run now. mommy and daddy are taking us swimming. Life was ruff, but now it's grrrrrreat!
