So, I went to the dogpark on Sunday. It had been a long time since we had been to this one. It was Fleet People's Park and it has a lake. I love to swim! Mom and dad have been keeping me away because I usually get too excited and hurt myself. You see, a few months ago the vet told my mom and dad that I have a luxating patella. That is very uncommon in a dog my size. The vet, Dr Hart - very nice guy - said it should correct itself since I was still growing. Go figure, he was right! It is no longer popping out of place, but just stiff from not being used. Anyways, mom and dad took us to the park. It was AWESOME!!!! I swam and swam and swam and swam. Then I came over and laid down by mom and dad and watched my brother and sisters play. Then we all went for a long walk in the woods. It was during the walk that I realized I must have over worked myself and I was out of shape. I just didn't want to keep walking. I was thinking of the comfy couch the whole time. Then to make me feel worse, Daisy speeds up and runs past me. I don't see how she can be in such great shape. Daisy is a basset hound and one of my steps is like four of hers. I guess all that running and barking in the yard pays off. Anyways, I am going to pace myself this weekend.
