What's up with the rocks?

The last few days Tetsu has decided he likes rocks. He doesn't try to eat them so much as carry them around the backyard. Rocks of all shapes and sizes. I don't know why he is having this sudden rock fascination. I make him give them to me... but invariably each time he goes out in the backyard he goes after another rock.

Let him eat steak

So, I brought pieces of hot dogs for Tetsuya's treats for agility tonight. He didn't seem very interested. One of the other students there always makes steak for his GSD. He let me have some pieces. Of course Tetsu loved it and totally focused on me. It looks like I am going to have to make him steak from now on for agility. Is he spoiled? Just slightly. :)

I was FURminated!

Mom got me today. She FURminated me in the backyard. Tons of fur came out. I am officially blowing coat. I would have run off to escape getting FURminated, but mom had the leash on me. There was no escape.

I went to the San Marcos Dog Park today at played with the dogs in the small dog section. It was a lot of fun. I ran and ran and ran some more. I also found a stick out there and me and a couple of the other dogs took turns grabbing it and running around. I had a blast!

Mom took me to PetSmart today. We picked out a bed for my crate. It is blue and has a pillow on it. Very comfy. Mom says it is machine washable and that is good. I sniffed it and checked it out. It seems okay. I give it my shiba stamp of approval.

I had a shiba meetup today at Georgetown Dog Park. It was a lot of fun. The park was very nice with lots of big shade trees and fresh water for us pups. I made some new shiba pals today, Sho and Lillie. I look forward to visiting that park again in the future.

I am a stealthy shiba... but not stealthy enough

I walked in the computer room while Mom was online and I quietly grabbed her shiba inu pen. Then I turned around and quietly walked out. I guess I was a little too stealthy though. Mom could tell I was up to something and she saw the pen in my mouth. She told me NO. I was really looking forward to chewing up that pen.

I went to McKinney Falls State Park today in Austin, TX with my mom. We met up with two people and their shiba inu, Inari from the Hill Country Shiba Inu Club (mom organizes that group.) It was a lot of fun. This was my first time to meet Inari. There were lots of things to sniff at... I tried to eat a grasshopper but Mom wouldn't let me. We hiked for an hour and a half. I am real sleepy now.

Christmas Toys & Treats

I had fun this Christmas. Mom and Dad gave me treats, and some sushi squeaky toys. Yukiko liked the sushi toys too. There were two in the package. She took one and I took the other. Mom was surprised that Yukiko played with toys. She usually doesn't. I also received a stuffed opossum squeaky toy. (It looks a lot like that opossum that was hanging out on my fence a few months back.) I guess they couldn't find a real opossum to give to me. I can't help but think it would be more fun to play with a real one.
My dogster gift exchange pals Kilimanjaro and Vesuvius sent me a cool blanket with my name on it, and a pillow. They also sent me treats and a red loofa dog toy (you can see Yukiko liked that toy - there is a video of her playing with it on her page). I also got a little squeaky bone toy. My shiba forum exchange pal, Yoshi sent me a cool yukata, which is a casual form of the kimono. (I opened that gift last month).
I hope you all had a great Christmas! Bark at you later!

Unwrapping Gifts

I got hold of one of my presents under the Christmas tree yesterday, and proceeded to unwrap it. Mom stopped me though. Drat! I got part of the paper off - it looked like it was sushi squeaky toys! I wanted to play with them. However, mom took the box away and put it up on a table and said I would have to wait to open it. Maybe I should find something else under the tree to unwrap?
