Birthday Boy

Woof! It's my birthday today!!! Mommy says she can't believe that her baby is 3 years old already!! I heard her tell Daddy that if she could, she would freeze me right where I am, 'cause I am the perfect age...don't know quite what she means, but I like ice cubes, would it be something like that??

Anyway, I just got a yummy dinner with cheese, peanut butter, and bacon on my food, and I see two cool looking presents on the table...I sure hope they're for me!! Then tomorrow, I get to go spend a couple days with Mema and Grandpa at their house...oh, boy, bring on the spoilin'!!! (Not that I don't get spoiled at home, mind you...but you know what they say...what happens at Mema's, stays at Mema's!! Arrrooooooo!!!!)

R.I.P Uncle Copper

I am so sad to woof to you today that my beloved Uncle Copper went to the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday. He was my bestest doggie buddy and I will miss him very much. Mommy says he will now be my guardian angel-doggie and watch over me. We asked God to give him lots of belly scratches, cause that was his favorite thing.

So, Uncle Copper, here's a big sloppy wet kiss until we meet again...I love you!!!

Room, Room, and More Room

I have to say that I am certainly enjoying my new home. The old house was nice and all, but I have ROOM here to stretch my long moosey legs and RUN!! I have a whole acre, and I love every inch of it. And I'm finding lots of fun places to hang out inside the house, too. There are windows on each side of the door that go all the way to the floor, just for me, so I can see what's happening outside. The window sills are perfect Milo-height, too! My favorite spots are on the couch (yep, my sofa made the trip from the old house!) looking out the front window; at the top of the staircase, where I can supervise most of the house; and my newest napping spot, Mommy and Daddy's bed!

Ah, life is good! Woof!

Whoa!!!

Oh, my goodness! I (well, my mommy, really) have been quite a delinquent pup! How has a whole year plus gone by since I last updated my loyal fans!??

Boy, Mommy really needs to get on the ball...I mean, c'mon, Mom, look at my profile! Green glo-ball has been long gone (speaking of which, have you seen my new orange one lately?), and we don't have a golf course behind our house anymore...hell-oooo, we moved, remember?!? Sheesh! It's so hard to get good help these days!

Anyway, Mommy tells me she is just starting a new blog (she and Daddy get to be part of that one, it's not just about me!), and she put my Dogster badge on it!! So she figured she better start updating over here, too...genius!

FREEDOM!!!

OK, I have completely changed my mind about this invisible fence thing...it is PAWESOME!! Can you say FREEDOM!?! No more leashes..yaaaaaayyyyyy!!!! (well, except on walks, but that's ok). It is so cool, I can just run around and play in the yard as much as I want. Sometimes, I get so excited that I just start running around in big circles...I just can't help myself! Now I can chase bunnies and squirrels, and even try to catch butterflies. I feel like I've been handed the world on a bone...It's simply Woof-i-licious!!!

Yikes!!

OK, Mommy & Daddy tell me every single day how much they love me lots and lots and lots....so can someone please tell me why they are trying to kill me??? Well, maybe not kill me, exactly....ok, so they are definitely not trying to kill me...but what is up with this "Invisible Fence" thing??? Last week this nice man came out to our house, made a bunch of noise in the yard, put up some white flag-things, and then took me for a walk around the yard. He put a new collar on me, and when it started to beep, he would pull me back into the yard and give me treats...it was great! So for the next few days, Mommy & Daddy would give me treats every time my collar beeped and I came back to them. Then yesterday, another man came and put something different on my new collar. When he started to walk around the yard with me, I thought, "Yay! More treats!" But...YIKES!!!!! This time after my collar started beeping, I felt this funky BUZZZZ! I started jumping around like a buckin' bronco, I thought there was a buzzy bee on me or something! So I zipped back into the yard towards Mommy & Daddy....and wouldn't ya know it, that man tried to give me a treat....I don't THINK so, it was hardly worth it after that mean trick! I decided to try the other side of the yard...and it happened again!! Not cool! :-P I am going to have to have a long woof with my Mommy & Daddy...what did I do to deserve this???

Poor Teddy

It is with great sadness that I paw this entry, to inform you that Teddy has been involved in a near-fatal incident...indeed, a near-decapitation! It all began innocently enough, with a good healthy game of tug between me and my Pup-Pup. But with one false move, my dear sweet Teddy came close to a much too early demise. Now, he lays motionless on the table, where I can do nothing to help him. Mommy assures me not to worry, that she has performed this kind of surgery many times without losing a patient...but I'm not so sure. After all, Lambie went away over two weeks ago for his surgery, and he has not returned to me yet. Please join me in praying for my friends, until they are back on their feet again. Woof!!

Party Time!!!

Yeeee-haaaa!!! I had a PAW-SOME birthday party!! My friends Daisy and Lucy and Ellie and Riley all came to the dog park to play (Dakota was going to come too, but his mommy wasn't feeling good!)...Mema and Grandpa even brought Uncle Copper all the way from their house in the mountains!! We played and romped and had a grand ole time! There was even a nice mud puddle beside the water buckets...and y'all know how much I love mud! Mommy kept saying that I managed to be the only pup in the whole park that was covered in it...well, of course, what did she expect?!? Then, after we got home (and the inevitable bath!!), Mommy and Daddy and Mema and Grandpa and Uncle Copper sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me presents....and Uncle Copper and I even had our own cake to share! I got a Good Cuz toy, and a Rope Doggy, and a big bucket of Pup Corn. I even got this stuffed toy that looks like a birthday cake and plays Happy Birthday when I squeeze it....Mommy says she has probably heard that song 50 times this week! I love it!!! Y'all gotta have one of these birthday things...it's bark-a-riffic!! Woof!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!!

YAAAAAYYYYYY!!! Everyone say it with me, now....Milo (that's me) is the BIG O-N-E!!!!!!!!! That's right, I am ONE-YEAR-OLD today!!!! I started the day off just right when Mommy and Daddy sang Happy Birthday to me...followed by a nice long FMM (that's a Full Milo Massage!) Then I got some great snuggle time in bed with Mommy, chewing on my bone while she rubbed my belly...I'll tell ya, this is LIVIN'!! I even got a special breakfast of vanilla wafers, cheerios, and cheese!! All this, and it's only 10 am (not that I can tell time or anything, of course)....can't wait to see what the rest of the day has in store for ME, the Birthday Boy!!! Woof!

A New Adventure!

I want to tell you all about this new thing I discovered, but first I have a question...this morning, my daddy said to me "I swear you are almost human"...and I'm trying to figure out, is that a good thing??

Anyway, on to my new adventure...on Saturday, I discovered this way cool place that I didn't even know existed...Mommy called it a Dog Park! I met a new friend, Riley (her mommy is my Auntie Kim), and we got to play together, along with these other doggies. And guess what...I was the biggest one there!! Mommy seemed very surprised at that...guess she doesn't want to admit that her baby is growing up...yep, I'm getting to be a big boy now!! We ran and wrestled and rolled on the ground, it was GREAT!! And I heard Mommy telling Auntie Kim that I was a good boy, cause I came when she called me...and didn't have the heart to tell her it is because of those yummy treats she keeps in her pocket when we go out! Of course, with all that playing, it meant that I had to get another bath when I got home...but that's ok cause it meant I was all nice and clean to get our Christmas pictures taken in the afternoon! I was a little antsy and didn't really feel like sitting still this time, but I got to snuggle up to Mommy and Daddy while Auntie Kim dangled treats in front of me, so I guess it wasn't all that bad!!
