Bad Surprise

Did you ever have one of those days where it starts out bad and keeps gettin worse?? I had one of those today.

It started with my family takin me and Richter to the vet. That was bad enough, I had to wait in the waiting room with a few other dogs which I didn't like. Then I went back in the room, and they took my temperature, gave me a shot, took blood, weighed me, and then the vet poked at my eyes and ears, squeezed me all over, moved my legs all around. Finally they let me off the table, and Richter got up there. Phew, I thought. I'm all done. Boy I could not have been more wrong.

Apparently, my teeth were dirty. Mommy has been saying for weeks that I need to get my teeth cleaned. Well, do you believe that the vet tells mommy that they just happen to have an opening to clean them today! That meant I had to stay at the vet, with all those other dogs, in a cage no less!! Mommy, daddy, Richter and Cole all left, and I had to go to the back with the tech. I was there all day!! It was so wrong! And now I'm not allowed to eat til tomorrow morning.

There is some good news, however! None of my teeth needed to be extracted. Just cleaned up. All my bloodwork was normal, no heartworms. My weight is great. Now my teeth are all clean, and my breath fresh!

Now that it's all over, I'm glad I don't have to go back. But I still am mad about my surprise day at the vet!

Sorry for the awful surprise cleaning-- that is the worst. I got mine done last summer and had to have 3 pulled :(

The best part was a soft food diet for a month!! :)

Aw, Macy, that was an ambush fur sure! Pawrents can be sneaky that way. When I went to have my teefers cleaned last year they were fine, too, but I woke up with stitchies in my side and a cone around my neck! Sneaky, sneaky pawrents!
