Cry Havoc! - by the "Dog of War"

Well.. mom took me to the vet yesterday. And it was NOT fun. They gave me a shot when I first got there, and it made me sleepy. Mom wanted me to go into a cage that wasn't MY bed. I didn't want to go, so she had to pick me up and put me inside. That made me sad so I cried for a bit.. but then I started feeling pretty good, so I was quiet and just laid there.

They made me go to sleep and when I woke up, my tummy HURT! The vet said I was a "cryptorchid", so they had to cut my tummy open to fix it. It hurts now, but I'm feeling a lot better. Last night all I wanted to do was sleep.

The vet says I have a pretty bad case of hip dysplasia and it's going to make it hard for me to walk when I get older. Mom says she's really really really sorry, but she can't afford to get new hips for me. I think that makes her sad. It makes dad sad, too. He said I was the best dog ever.

You want to know the WORST part? Mom put a CONE on my HEAD!! The cats were laughing at me. I'm so embarrassed. At least my brother doesn't seem to mind. He didn't make fun of me, he was just glad to have me home.

I'm glad to be home, too. I just hope mom takes this cone off of my head soon.
