Shhhhh, don’t tell Daddy. Mom said she was taking him on a surprise date for Father’s Day. Truth be told, WE were taking daddy on the date! We all piled into the car and drove over four hours to Vermont, to Dog Mountain, to see the Dog Chapel!!!
It was so much fun; we stayed in a hotel, and the nice lady took our picture to put on the hotel’s Facebook page. We played in the really big yard they had, and slept in the room with mom and dad.
The next day, we went to see Dog Mountain. It was Heaven on Earth!!! We got to run around with no leashes (no dogs have to wear their leashes there). They had an agility course, an art gallery, a pond, hiking trails, the works. And….a Chapel. You have to see it to believe it. We were allowed to go in the pond soaking wet, and then go in the chapel, the gallery – wherever we wanted to go.
Our friend Kodi drove two and a half hours to meet us. Well, actually Kodi, didn’t drive, his mom Deb, did. We had a great time together. Check out Dog Mountain at http://www.dogmt.com/index.php

It's a few days before Christmas.....and we wanted to extend blessings for health and happiness in the New Year to all our pup friends and their families.
We pray for peace in the world; shelter for all living creatures, both human and fur......hugs, kisses, love, attention, affection, and of course a full bowl of Kibble.
We cry for the children and the adults who are homeless, and for the fur babies who are as well. We are sorry for their loneliness and isolation. We are deeply saddened when we see people sleeping in the streets; and when we see a dog tied to a line all day; or in a kennel staring at its house, hoping its owners will come and play. And for kitties who are feral and must hunt and live outside all winter.
But for all the sadness, we are so happy for the people who give generously of their time, effort and money to help the homeless people, the abandoned dogs, and the feral kitties. For them, we are grateful.
Peace and blessings to all of you in the coming New Year.
Our hearts are with you,
Riley, Skye and Quinn (and Mommy too)

Second Dog-
Sometimes I look for traits in you
Of a little [gentle] dog you never knew.
A dog who loved me all his days
and understood in special ways.
But that's not fair to you, my elf,
You're not a substitute, but are yourself.
You've dried the tears and eased the pain
And tugged my laughter home again.
Yet, at times, puppy, I almost start
When your eyes recall him to my heart.
You'll never lack for love, it's clear --
Because of him, you're twice as dear.
