Happy Howloween...

I sure seem to have issues with my picture not showing up in the forums...whenever I post a new one....wonder what that's about... There were lots of trick or treaters tonight..probably close to 100 and I was very good...I only barked a bit....and didn't chase even one goblin, or ghoul, or princess....Mommy was impressed.

AND, Fergus had issues with me today scoping out his territory for food (sorry Fergus, we know that you LOVE YOUR food :-)....won't do that again)...then we went outside to play in the yard where we usually do and had so much fun...just like we used to....it was chilly tonight for the Trick and Treaters....-10 C and 20F...

We're going out of town again...I get to stay over at Grandmas while Mom and Dad travel around ... and Mom hasn't packed my important stuff (mainly food) yet!....should be back on Saturday....

All is well in the Fur Sibs worlds...:-)

Class tomorrow..

I got to meet Fergus' cousin Talla - she is a very, very beautiful Golden-reddish retriever (Fergus has her picture on his site)...I wanted to play with them both, but they were very busy watching over the yard renovations...moving fences takes a lot of people work and now the yard is sooooo much bigger...I wonder if Aunty Joan would let us make it a Doggie Park....xoxoxox (I think Not :-))))

I embarassed Mom because she had a very hard time getting me to come home...I escaped once back into the yard with Fergus...I listen good (when I want - or when treats are involved)....and I was having SO much fun.

Some pups say that we stop growing at 5 0r 6 mo....I sure didn't stop growing at 6 mo....maybe it's the Lhasa in me but I went from 17" long and 11" high to now20"long (and not much higher :-) I have the cutest little legs on my lion-like body...everybody gets such a kick out of my furry paws BOL.... and I weighed about 9 lbs and now 13.5...that's about 5 lb and 3" in close to 4 mo...---- I feel good and just look really shaggy...we don't think I'm fat :-( ...but, maybe I'll have to cut down on the people food (Daddy).

I have my class tomorrow and it is THE BEST....I've learned sit, sit-wait, sit-stay, come, down - stay, and we're working on heel (every direction)...I never get to eat so many treats as when I'm in class - but I am absolutely thrilled to see all the other doggies...and most of them are big and noisy...

AND it's not boring like this winter hibernation is turning out to be...I'm going to have to talk to Fergus and figure out a way for us to escape and play without the 'rents.....

Where have the days gone???

The days kind of run together...Mom and Dad come and go...sometimes I get to go with them...I still love to chew up paper and play catch-me-if-you-can with whatever I think will get their attention the most (slippers, socks, dirty laundry...)...I really like to sit on top of the coffee table and Island in the kitchen...my short legs need to be compensated for someway :-)

The sick family members are holding their own...but, not 100% yet...(more prayers)...

Mommy was helping Elizabeth again today so I got stuffed again...even though Mom told her not to feed me too much (hehehehe)...I managed to go for my walks and do my training, but I'm pretty lazy tonight...

I get to stay over with my Grandma on //Wed - Thurs. next week - Whoo Hooo...now she has high blood pressure...is it because winter is coming that my furless family is getting sick???? Lets move to California :-)))) or Arizona..Well, doesn't hurt to dream :-)

Mom's been trying to learn some new program called GIMP - she scratches her head a lot (I could help :-)))

My Pawrple Gorilla is De-limbed...

I forgot to tell you...Mom cut the arms off my purple gorilla....I seem to be in this very chewy phase and really, really liked my gorillas arms to chew...as well as the howling sound he makes...but....some of the plastic bits were coming out the wrong end...Fergus' Mom says I was doing the 'boot scoot and boogie' trying to get rid of the plastic...and Mom said "You are not allowed to EAT plastic!" and cut my gorillas arms off :-(....he still howls really great though...I'm afraid Daddy might cut his voice box out though :-(...poor little pawrple gorilla.........

Happy Days are here again....

Oh Happy Happy Days - Fergus' Mommy is feeling better; they're still sad (even My Boy Fergus), but want to see people (and most importantly Pups) again....

We've had two good walks and he even came into MY house and played without his Mommy....FUN, FUN, FUN....he is a snoopy terrier, though, and had to check out all the corners before he'd wrestle with me in the livingroom...but, he impressed Mommy that he didn't even try to lift his leg...because when we're walking outside he does that a lot...something about marking his terrier territory???? I gave him a cool Best Friend neck band yesterday and he even slept with it...his Furless brother thinks we can't be boyfriend and girlfriend just because we've both visited the vet...well....Nice Guy or Not; Humph, you know there's more to a relationship than just ONE thing...Oh Brother.

Mommy and Daddy have been at the theatre these past couple of nights...they just loved Men of the Deeps AND the comedian Ron James...they laughed for two hours straight...what a guy!

I VOTED - for the first time...well, I got to wear the sticker anyway...it is our civic elections and I got to go Inside the school - there are some awful neat smells in there..all those kiddies I see walking by the house and playing in the school yard go Inside...it would be so much fun to check out all the classrooms.

Our neighbour had some of his fence posts kicked in...Mommy thinks it's a bit of retaliation for closing the walkways....Hmmmm - those kids aren't nice!

Furless Brother and his girlfriend had a wedding this weekend...that's why we didn't get to visit with them...I'll bet wedding's are FUN tzu. My favourite Aunty Jean (who's almost 91) is in the hospital...had a stint put in for her heart....PRAYERS and hugs and kisses for her ****

Cooking Classes tonight....do you think there is a remote possibility that the 'rents will bring me a nibble?????

Good Weekend...

Well...I didn't see much of Buddy Boy...but I always make the cat Taz's life interesting while we're at Grandma's....he was doing pretty good until I jumped up on the couch and there he was right under me....he left in a hurry....Grandma says it's a good thing he doesn't have claws or I'd be in trouble...I think she's right.

Buddy Boy's grandma gave me this very cool purple gorilla to torture...and can I ever make it scream (see my videos)...noisy toys RULE!

Human sister phoned and her mom-in-law had to go to the hospital because her sugar levels are very bad....prayers for Diane (et al)!

S-i-L's Mom had a trip to emergency....she's waiting for test results...

I waited in the car while Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital and visited their friend who was shot in a hunting accident...he is so very lucky to be alive...the bullet was in the back of his head, but the best neuro-surgeon works at the hospital and was able to operate....he should be going home in a couple of days...that is one family counting their blessings right now.

Didn't get ahold of human brother....waiting to hear from him (hugs)...

Mom and Dad are going to a concert (Men of the Deeps) at 5:00 and then I have my puppy class at 7:00........busy Mom :-)...good thing she doesn't have to go to work...tomorrow is a shopping trip during the day and the comedian Ron James.. at night; .Wed. they have cooking classes and Friday is Square Dancing...Saturday (? Edmonton or breakfast out)....

It'll be a BUSY week for them anyway...I think I need a walk!

Off to Grandma's

I love going to visit Grandma..there are always friends and family coming and going....the Crazy Cat Taz isn't so hot, but Buddy Boy will be around and the cousins next door....they like me.....I have been travelling since I was a baby...and I'm very good at it.

My coat is getting much longer and I still like to go outside - even though it's getting colder and we've had a touch of snow...Mom stands in the doorway with me on a leash while I look around and 'do my business'....she keeps talking about having to get a fenced yard - hehehe....(she's a wimp)

I'll check in tomorrow....

Tuesday already...

Let's see....way back to Friday...I've been left on my own quite a bit while the Furless Parents went square dancing....bird watching....birthday partying...but finally, yesterday I got to go visit Elizabeth while Mommy went for coffee....she loves me and loves to feed me...Mommy says she's going to have to stop her from feeding me (OH NO) because I had to go outside sooo much and was releasing unpleasant aromas into the air....didn't bother me a bit...but it was hard to concentrate at my puppy class.

Tonight I'll be on my own again while they go and learn some more about bird identification....I know I'd like a class like that too..hmmmm; I'm getting a little big to sneak into a pocket...

Tomorrow they're off to that Canadian club and dinner...(maybe this time a piece of chicken..huh? huh?

Good thing I at least get out for a walk in the morning...I went part way with Daddy this morning....but I was very 'bouncy'...Fergus' has lost his Grandpa and his Grandma just a few weeks ago...so I haven't been visiting with him either....(Hugz Fergy)...Gosh; I guess I'll just go have a nap...makes the time go by....maybe I'll look out the window and watch the kids in the school yard or the birds at the feeder....or maybe I'll just sleep...It's a dog's life.

I am a distant cousin of the wolf...

I surprised Mom (and me) today....I howled....really, really howled...like a wolf....It sounded so strange I had to try it again....WOW - it was pretty impressive if I do say so myself!

Thanksgiving (check)....Halloween (soon)....Christmas (after- that!)

And we wonder where the time goes:-)

We had the most pawsome Thanksgiving weekend....(didn't get to see or talk with furless sister, but we'll catch up with her).

Started off visiting at Grandma's and that fun furless brother and his girlfriend were there...the little buddy boy was there for a while, but then he went home and I didn't see him for the rest of the weekend. There should be some videos on PupVeronica's YouTube pretty soon.

We picked Daddy up from his hunting trip...and, lucky guy, he got to stay in an old farm house with' lots of character'...not to mention all the modern amenities....

I stayed with my furless Auntie and Uncle and met my cousin Jake...I thought he was going to be a Yorkshire Terror, but he was a Yorkshire Terrier....very cute and adorable, but not nearly as playful as I would have liked (he's 3 already)....We did go for lots of walks and he showed me around his 'hood and all the places he has to do that lift your leg trick!

My Fergus is still my very best friend and play mate....His Mommy laughs when I nuzzle and hug him before I bite his ear or tail or bark my head off at him so he'll play with me...and he does...and he has FUN too:-)..thank goodness.

Mommy and Daddy left me with the relatives while they went and Rocked with the Stones...Rolling Stones that is...well - they LOVED the show....the BEST of the Best...they said....with warm weather and a full moon to top it off.

Saturday we had Thanksgiving turkey and 30-some people eating, drinking and celebrating my Uncle and Auntie's marriage...I wuv them (wag,wag,wag).

Daddy got to watch LOTS of football with the guys on the 52" TV screen....he liked that a lot too :-) Mommy chatted! Sunday we headed home and had a relaxing Monday holiday.

Mommy phoned for an appt. for my eye trim this morning and - talk about service...in 15 minutes I was there and in 'the room'....I knew something was up as we drove around that grooming and vet area of town...Oh well...at least I can see now...and that's all they did - my eyes. We have an appt. already booked for before Christmas...they get VERY, VERY busy.

I'm going to be left alone this aft. because they have a dietician appt. with the diabetic nurse...Mom says she needs a refresher:-) ...and a break from this 'puter!
