I went for a walk with Mommy this morning and, on our way back, I stopped in to see Fergus... he was outside after all.... but, no matter how much we whined and poked our noses through the fence and wagged our tails... Mommy didn't let me into his back yard - %$&(&%$$#... something about me barking at him and waking the neighbourhood! Shouldn't the neighbourhood have been up at 6:30 am?
Then, at noon, we were walking and I spotted my buddy, just coming home with his Mommy and Daddy... so, I was very good (because I was on a leash) and looked for traffic before I bolted across the street... thank dawgness I was able to stay and play with him... but, then Aunty Joan had to bring me back home.... and Fergus had to stay home... and she had to make sure he didn't bolt out of the gate and come to my place...... wouldn't it be easier if they just made us a dog run???? Yeppers... I should say so!
I 'almost' embarassed 'The Rents' after Daddy's work... a friend of his came to the house to borrow something and I HAD to sniff, and sniff and sniff some more his pant leg - ALL the way up..... I don't know WHY he didn't bring his Newfoundland dog, Zeus.... then I could have sniffed him, instead of his Daddy!!!!
Fergus is feeling great after all his 'shots' yesterday... and he lost 3/4 lb.... "yeah" (I guess me being his personal trainer is working;).
The furless brother doesn't know, for sure, where they're going to be moving at the end of the month - either a new apartment; or one in the same building... they have an upstairs neighbour that is IMPOSSIBLE to live under :(.... hoomans!

> "Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your

> "No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks

I'm just laying around, being bored.... yesterday, at least I got out for a walk... Mommy said I looked like Little Red Riding Hood in my rain coat... I may have looked cute, but I wasn't comfortable... and what's with all these sticky things from the trees getting in my butt hair and paws! And I MEAN sticky.
Mommy and Aunty Joan took off withOUT both me AND Fergus (who thought he would come and visit me while they were gone, but wasn't allowed). I keep running over there too, but I have to come back home.... supposedly it's too wet and muddy for us to play! Hello!!!!!! WE'RE dogs.... dogs can get dirty and still be perfectly H a p p y!!!!!
More plants .... and dirt... a whole bag of dirt (I'm beginning to wonder about my Mom) came home yesterday..... it's all sitting in the garage waiting for 'a sunny day'.... hehehe... (hoomans).
---------- boring!

I love playing outside... I can just sniff around all over the yard and lay down when I feel like it, chase a birdie or two (they're fast), run after Mommys garden gloves... drink the water from the water hose that's running by the plants, dig in the dirt, that turns into that delicious mud stuff when you add water, eat leaves and sticks (they're EVERYWHERE).... We never do anything like this when it's winter.... I'd freeze my patootie off!
I guess, one downside is LOTS more time in the bathtub... Oh well... good thing my hair is short(er)... and it gives me a good excuse to zoom, zoom, zoom.
Mommy is getting our trip to Yellowstone planned out... we'll meet up with Lucy and Isabelle's Mommy and Daddy and I get to really and truly play with my Dogster Best Friend and Look-a-Like.... Fun, Fun, Fun.
Daddy left this morning for a conference in Edmonton... so, I really have Mommy all to myself. She loves me, no matter what I do... I made another run for it, yesterday, over to Fergus' (WELL.... it was that time of day and it wasn't looking like I was going to be taken over any time soon)... so, when I went out to do what I had to do... I thought about it a bit... ignored Mommy's looks and 'come-here's' and off I went (I know the way VERY well).... HOHUMM... I was captured by Critter's Mommy and returned in about 10 seconds... some visit...If I were a crybaby I'd cry, "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA".
HEY!!!! I got that squeaky bird down and was taking the stuffing out of it... and Mommy took it away.... I Want It Back..~~whimper, whimper & look pathetic~~ .. I had just about annihilated my first birdie! (Is there Another Lesson here????)

I still have a good appetite and drink lots of water, but my breath smells like sick room breath (so Mommy says)... Aunty Joan was over and felt my ears... yep they were hot...
We'll sleep downstairs tonight... it's cooler there.

Maybe, still a little bit of fever, but much better.
And, yeah.... on my morning walk Fergus and his Daddy were outside, so I got to go play (nag) my best Buddy.... (I think he really likes me barking at him).
I know how to ignore Mommy as much as Fergus knows how to ignore me... when she tried to get me to come home; and; excuse me, I was not finished playing - I easily kept out of reach... bol... she's slow!
Fergus' Daddy got me to get up on a chair... and I loved all the attention I got then (so, they think they got the best of me, because Mommy was able to pick me up and take me outside.... but, I got all the hugs and luvin' for getting up on the chair!
That's what I care about)..........hmmmmmmmm...well ... I could have played for hours:(((

- Fergus looks as cute as can be with his new hair cut... and he's lost 2 1/2 lbs... too (not all hair)
- We have rain and thunder today (I am curious about the thunder, but not a bit afraid).... everything looks so lush and green:)
- Daddy is home from his trip we all went for a long walk by the river this morning... on the way back they made the mistake of letting me in to see Fergus, who was in his yard... so I did a 7:00 am bark at him... trying to get him to play... but, he didn't want to... maybe just as well because my paws were filthy dirty and he looked so nice and clean (Mom has to learn to resist the pleading looks and whimpers of us pups... keep that gate closed until LATER!)
- All those 'containers' appear to be completed and surviving outside... lookin' good and lovin' the spring/summer!

Mommy and Daddy gave me enough treats this morning that they managed to trim the hair around my eyes... I can see again:))))) Mommy says it grows like grass in summer with just the right amount of fertilizer (bol... she likes to garden).
I get pretty excited about that black and white cat that comes in the yard... I stand guard, by the window, and then bark and run... when I see it, until Mommy lets me outside - then we have a stand off (this cat has claws!).... But, it sure is fun to think I'm protecting my yard from those nasty intruders.... this includes the birdies... dang things.... they lift up OFF the ground (how is that fair?).
Fergus has been busy helping to clean up his yard... and take garbage out to the dump (that sounds interesting)... so, I haven't seen him too much.
Lovin' the summer!

She says, it's not writers block there just isn't too much happening....
Well.... bol... I'll tell you something.... I've been flirting, rather blatantly, with Fergus.... his Mommy and Daddy laughed at me... and Mommy and Daddy laughed and said we would have had cute babies... but... what's the big deal... and why do they keep telling us we've been fixed ('cause Fergus pays attention;) ... I think it is spring... and a girl has a right to express herself; after all it is 2007!
Daddy's hunting friend is in town for the week... I like him... and he likes me. He has doggies of his own so he Knows where to scratch.......mmmmmmm.
I'm loving the heat. We're going to get a gate built in the back yard so I can just go outside when I want (Mommy wonders if I will because I'm so used to having her with me.... hmmmmm... I think I could get used to it:)

After my walk around the block... and usual, check to see if Fergus is in the backyard, stop... he wasn't - but, his Mommy was... hehehehe... so picture my Mom and Fergus' Mom trying to convince me it was time to go home; huh... I was at my second home and waiting, if you please, for my buddy to come out and play...
...... :( which he didn't, but it took Mommy jogging off home so I could chase her to get me headed; where I guess I should have been heading anyway (I am beginning to think the threat of a leash is not going to happen... so, I can just do as I please...)... works for me!
My 'rents are turning into vegetables... at least that's what Daddy calls it... vegging (something to do with too much dinner to eat) and watching Desperate Housewives!
Furless Bro. and his girl are going to visit her Mommy today (Happy Birthday to her).
