Arrival Story:
I had a daughter that was killed 5 years ago on August 21, 2001. She was 5 at the time, and it's been a very difficult 5 years, but we have stayed strong. On her birthday I usually take the kids out to a waterpark or anything fun to remember the good times. On the day she passed away we usually spend it at the cemetary with all of us crying. Well this year, on the aniversary from when she passed away, I decided to surpise the family and I went to the pet store and got our little Teddy Bear. We will always remember Ashley, and treasure the time she was with us. I just wanted that day to be something special this year.

King George is a Teddy Bear which is a Bichon/ Shitzu mix.

King George is feeling so much better now. He still has kennel cough, but it is getting so much better. He is his happy self again. Were still working on that fun potty training time, but he'll get the hang of it.

It's been a hard first week

When I went to the pet store, I really didn't know what I wanted. They had all these different kind of mixes from puggles to cockapoos to shish poos. I never heard of any of these. I looked at the puggle which was adorable but quite the barker. Then I saw this laid back little Teddy Bear. I asked to see him and he just melted my heart. They said that he has been there for awhile because he is not the normal coloring of a Teddy Bear. Most are white with some brown on them. I thought he was just adorable and a few minutes later he was mine. Then that night I heard the "kennel cough". They did bring me home with antibiotics for him, but a few days later it was just getting worse. I took him to the vet on Thursday and they gave me more medicine for him. So yesterday and today he's been laying around, all worn out from that strong medicine. The cutest thing was he weighed in at 3 pounds. The vet said the kennel cough could last about 2-3 weeks, but finally he is getting a little better. Hopefully next week will be much better. Now were working on that whole potty training adventure!!! Wish me luck!
