Arrival Story:
I found Nefer (pronounced "Neffer" and short for "Nefertiti") through petfinder.com at an SPCA in northern Oklahoma (I live in Central Texas.) She scored 3's on the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test, so I drove 9 hours to Oklahoma, spent the night in a hotel, picked her up at the SPCA the next day, and drove her home. She was 11 weeks old. She officially became my Service Dog on September 14, 2007, when she was 17 months, 3 weeks old. On that day we left on a trip by air to Washington, DC. She made me very proud that weekend. =)
