This was the third year we've entered that picture, and we were MORE than ecstatic to be a Finalist let alone win the category!!

My first birthday!!

Well, as many of your probably know, my birthday is June 28, 2006! So in honor of my VERY FIRST BIRTHDAY tomorrow.. mom baked up a storm this morning!

Since she has to work both her jobs tomorrow on my actual birthday we did my little cake party and presents tonight.. just before midnight so it's almost my first!

Me and Lacey had biiiig pieces of the cake she made. It's from a doggie recipe book mom bought. It's ground chicken, carrots, brown rice, and spinach mixed together in two seperate cake pans (to make it a LAYER CAKE) and a creamy layer of MASHED POTATOES between the two layers and a little on top so the candle would stay up! We posted pics of it.. it was soo yummy.

Mom also made homemade cookies, too, for us. They are carrot cookies with applesauce, yogurt and other sweet ingredients that are good for us pups. Then I got a cute tshirt that says "birthday pooch" to wear and a squeaky bear (I love super squeaky toys) and some Nylabones to chew.

THEN on SUNDAY mom is taking me HIKING with a bunch of other people and pups from our dog park! She is soo exicted and I am, too, because I will be tick free bol!!!

That enough spoiled corgi birthday news for ya?? BOL!

Wish me a happy birthday for TOMORROW, June 28th!!!

Mom's birthday was the 25th, but she just got a Pepperidge Farm cake.. BOL.. but she claims it was ohso good but we couldn't have any =[

My Secrets:

1. I am the most sensitive puppy ever... if I think you are mad at me I will cuddle up with you and give you my sad face (no one can resist!).

2. I poop at least 5 times a day -- no lie. :-X

3. I love SAND and dry DIRT. When mommy and I walk around the lake and come to the dirt patch on the path I dive on it and stir up the dirt and go CRAZY!

4. I'm pretty posessive around other pups. Mom can't pet anybody on the dog park and when she brings out my water bowl I will "herd" and chase off any pup that even gives a glance at it.. I am a pup with ATTITUDE.

5. I've been on a plane! Not even my human-grama has! BOL! Well, I certainly didn't fly first class, but I got to be CARGO!

6. After gobbling my breakfast down in one sitting, I often look up and go "awoo" very softly. It is a ritual nobody has been able to capture on camera-- must to everyone's dismay!

7. I frequently watch birds and planes and anything that flies in the sky! I am found looking up, distracted by a helicopter or sparrow that zooms by. And they said dogs can't look up!

SNOW!!!!!!

I've been posting this everywhere, but I am sooo excited! This morning was my "FIRST SNOW" encounter! There's barely like an inch on the ground but it's still the first we've had stick to the ground!!

Mom was sleeping and heard Grandma taking us outside and she heard her mention SNOW!

So she opened her window and there was a bit of snow on the ground.. FINALLY... she called it "lame snow" but I didn't care!

I was afraid at first but then ran around, eating it, kicking it up.. mom can't wait til it's REAL snow and deeper!

We put a video up of me and Lacey and Grandma in the little bit of snow... Mom was videotaping from out her window! BOL!!

Christmas trees and stitches!

WOW! What a BUSY week I've had so far!! So busy I haven't been on Dogster to share the cool news and such...

On Saturday my mom and her parents and ME (yes, ME, too!) went CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPPING! I got to come along! Even in the semi-indoor part of Home Depot.. bol... despite the blatant "no pets" sign BOL!

The man sweeping the pine needles absolutely adored me, though, and I gave him plenty of kisses. We went for four different places and finally got the tree at Sears, they were having an outdoor sale like most places do.

I "helped" a lot (bol) and was a VERY good little girl the entire trip and did not whine or cause any trouble during the search hehe...

I've been acting like I didn't get cut open two weeks ago BOL.. and mom almost forgot that in about half an hour I go back to that PLACE and get my stitches out! The incision area already looks completely healed.. so I'm pretty excited to have them out..

AND HOW CRAZY IS IT THAT CHRISTMAS IS IN A FEW DAYS?! Who's excited?? ME!!

Well this morning mom and I got a REAL shock... my face all up on the Dogster main page!!! Winning DOGSTER DIARY OF THE DAY!!!!

Mom knew her writing skills would pay off someday!! BOL!!

Anyway, we are OHSO honored and happy to have received all the pmails, PAL REQUESTS (omd! it was wonderful!) and the Rosettes!! We realized how far behind we are in our Rosette-giving (we have 41 to give out!! Better get going now for the holidays!!)...!!

Thank you all again and I'm glad you enjoyed my entries.. they will keep coming as long as I'm here!! =)

Home sweet home!!

Well today, at "9 on the dot" (as the veterinary secretary lady said BOL), mom came and got me from the vet.

Let me tell you (as the secretary told mom)... I was way miserable the entire time. They gave me some cooked chicken even, and I was too depressed to eat it. When I saw mom I was really excited on the inside but only had the strength to wag my little stub tail and walk over to her hehe...

My pathetic little self broke mom's heart, I milked it for all it was worth. She fed me my pain pill in cheese at home, and we literally slept on the couch (mostly me sleeping BOL) from 10 am - 6:30 pm (when she finally had to go to class.. she skipped her early class for me BOL).. she fed me cheese and little pieces of pizza crust (the only times I perked up), too!

My "wound" is small and I go back the 21st to get my stitches out. When mom came home from class tonight (just now) I was wayy more peppy already. I even jumped up on her! It must be that second half of pain pill and all the 4368567 hours of sleep I got! BOL!

Thank you everypup for your thoughts and care!! I'm almost back to my silly puppy ways... one day at a time, of course! bol!
