AGAIN!!!

YEP, you got it, mom is leaving again!! i will be staying with Moose and his mom . it is ok cause i like it there. Wait til moose sees me i have been on a diet and have lost 12 lbs. That is a lot of weight for a dog my size. i will be able to run REALLY FAST. Moose will have a hard time catching up to me now even if he is bigger. I have been on special food but I have not been overly hungrey so i guess it is ok. mom says the food worked so well maybe she will try it as she would like to lose some wieght too!!!! Silly mom!

AGAIN

well mom was gone AGAIN!! but it's ok cause I get to stay with my friend Moose. This time he actually played with me. Guess he was lost some weight so he is much more lively. Mom will be going away agin a few times so I am looking forward to seeing a lot of Moose!

Getting Along

Well, I finished the beginning treatment and now am on maintainence I didn't do so hot with the first dose as I didn't want to eat so mommy had to give me a different pill. I felt somewhat better after that and have been eating the last few days. I will need to have that pill again on wed. so we shall see how I will feel then. Mommy and I sure hope we can get this under control!

OH NO!

BOO! I had to go to the vet a couple of times in the last 2 weeks. mom says I am sick. She didn't know what was wrong with me and thought maybe I was just getting old. The vet did tests, x-rays and blood work. OUCH, that needle hurts. He said I have Cushings Disease!!! Now I have to be on special medication (expensive of coarse) to see if it helps and also have more blood work DARN! Mom hopes I will be feeling better soon Guess we will know in a couple of weeks how it is going.

My Birthday

Well today is my birthday. I am 9 years old!!! Mom says I still act like a 2 year old on speed. Guess I have good genes or something!! Mom says we are going to the vet today. That's not fair, the vet on my birthday!!!!!! Oh well it probably won't be too bad they are very nice and they like me alot. After that I think I will just hang around and act like a birthday girl diva. I am sure I can do that with perfection. Maybe I will get something special to eat today too. HOORAY!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am starting out this new year as a canine ambassador for The Foundation For Service Dog Support. It is a new program that my mom and I have gotten involved with. I have a pretty new blue vest to wear. I hope I am a good pup when I wear it!!

HOLY COW

WOW! mom just realized it has been almost a year since she wrote an entry!!! We have been very busy. Mom retired and decided to sell the house. That took a lot of work and boy was there a mess with all the packing, sorting, selling stuff etc. We finally got it all done i was kind of worried tho cause the last time my owners packed up and moved they left ME!! Not this time tho mom wouldn't do that. Our house sold really fast and mom was glad our new place was ready in time. So we moved and now I am busy meeting all the new dogs and people here in the park. There seems to be mostly little dogs here and sometimes they try to act like big dogs and bark and run at me. I would like to play with them but I think they may be scared of me. Oh well hopefully soon they will learn that I am a nice doggie and I will have some playmates.

A long time

Boy, it has been awhile since Mom wrote anything here about me! Lately we have been very busy promoting our service dog group. It is that time of year when all the charities start their campaigns and we want to be included. Because we don't charge our students anything for the class we need to get funds somewhere. We are always grateful when someone donates to us. When we go to the functions with our materials it is always good to have a dog or 2 around cause people really like to see us. My pal Roxy and I went to one the other day and we even did a 'tag team' demo. Everyone really liked that!!! Besides mom lets me get petted a lot so it is really fun. I do get tired tho.

Sadness

Today I am VERY sad. My mom just found out that my friend Boston's (another service dog) mom died. my dad and I started service dog class with them and we have been friends since. Even tho she was ill her death was unexpected. I know that Boston is going to be VERY, VERY sad.
