Arrival Story: I moved to Ennis on a farm with my 2 children as a single mother. I was a little scared to be out there alone without a guard dog. About 2 months of living there I stopped at the corner store to get gas. This van was there giving away puppies. There were only 2 left. The man said they were mixed and will be a large dog. So I took the chance and picked the one with the brown markings. I wished I would have adopted both puppies now that I see how pretty and smart my big boy is. I would not take all the money in the world for him! Bio: Rosco was hit by a truck when he was about 6 months old. The truck just hit the brakes and kept right on going and never stopped to render aid. I cried and picked his stiff body up out of the road gasping for air. I told my fiancee that we needed to get the neighbor's gun to put him out of his mysery (the neighbor was not home). I went in and got a wet towel and came out to clean his face and body a little. In about 20 minutes he tried to stand and hit the ground face first. I just held him for another 10 minutes and then tried to put him down and he was limping to hide. The following day, you would have never known that he was hit by a car!!!!! He was picked up by the sherrif once and I could not find him for 3 days. Last, I called the SPCA and asked for him giving a description of one missing K-9 in the front on top. I could hear the vet tech in the background say right front missing K-9 and I could not help but cry. I left work and went to get him and he was so happy to see me.
