Don't get me wrong. I love my life. I have everything I need and then some. Mom plays my indoor keep-away game with me. We play it everyday.
But today something wonderful happened. Our human Brother walked through the back gate, into the yard and into the house. You might remember he went away about seven months ago. He joined the Air Force and went to basic training. Now he is learning his job for the Air Force and he is in Monterey California while he attends classes. But today he is home for the Christmas holiday season.
It was wonderful to see him walk into the yard. Of course, Zoe thought she was the only dog and hogged the time greeting him. After we all came into the house and things started to settle down, I grabbed my blue Puff Dragon toy. Just like old times, Brother started to "chase" me around and around for a game of indoor keep-away. There is no running or barking involved. We just quietly go around through the living room, the kitchen and the dining area. We keep going around like that. When I sit down, still with Puff Dragon in my mouth, Brother knows the game is over.
It is our routine. I am a creature of habit. I just know we will play my indoor keep-away game again.
Dis r pawsum, Dwober ♥
Did your brother do his basic training here in San Antonio at Lackland AFB???
That is so good that you can play keep-away again with your Brother. Make sure that you get at least one game in per day while he is home. I am also glad to hear that Puff is not in toy heaven.
Enjoy your brother and the Christmas with him Drover and keep on playing!
Drover, did you know that you're the sweetest, most cutest boy pup??!? That sounds so sweet and cute! I bet Brother was so happy to see you!
He is still sleeping! He spent a lot of time in a couple of airports waiting for his flights.
Yes, Doo, he was at Lackland! The folks were there for his graduation in July.
Jelly and HD, playing is a very good plan!
Fizzy, thank you for the compliment but you are awfully cute yourself.
And Jelly, yes the dragon toys are still in great shape! You always send long-lasting toys.
WOW! I wish mom would have known, she could have met ya'll for lunch or something.
That would have been cool Doo, but they stayed busy just hanging with Brother. Mom wanted to meet with Ebby's momma too but it turned out that was during the time Wrinkles had to go to the bridge.
Plus, Mom isn't used to big city driving and threatened to ride in the trunk. Bol! She didn't like the way Pop was driving. They didn't venture too far from Lackland.
Have fun with your brother!!
Your brother sounds like a great guy! Enjoy your holidays togefur!
Have fun with your brother!!
What a wonderful story to hear. These are the things you like to hear over the Holidays. Sounds like you missed your human bro and he missed you. Get lots of play time in.
