Well, I think I should bark to you about the DOGS FOR THE DEAF 2011 ROARING TWENTIES dog walk. DOGS FOR THE DEAF, located in Central Point Oregon, has an annual benefit dog walk; Dad and I have been wanting to participate for years, and this time we got to go! This year was the 20th anniversary of the dog walk, so they gave it a "Roaring Twenties" theme. Everyone was encouraged to come in costume. My "sister" Charlene, Brother-in-law Greg and their fur-baby Phoebe went with Dad and me. Dad and Greg wore zoot-suits; Charlene and Phoebe dressed as flapper girls. Charlene made my costume---it was supposed to be a black zoot-suit, but it looked more like a tuxedo. Never-the-less, it fit the '20s theme. We entered as a group and won the best costume award!

When Dad and I arrived back home, we discovered that we had had an intruder. One sniff and I knew who it was---it was a BEAR! He had torn down part of the fence to gain entry to the yard, opened the garbage cans and strewn garbage all over the yard. We keep our freezer in an outside shed; The bear had drug the freezer out into the yard, upended it and scattered the contents around. He had eaten his fill of the meat and other contents and left the rest, which was thawed and ruined. Then he CRAWLED THROUGH MY DOGGIE-DOOR and tore the house to pieces. He ATE ALL MY TREATS!!! He also ate all of Emma's food and knocked over furniture. What a mess! We were worried that he had also eaten Emma, because she was nowhere to be found, but she finally showed up later that evening.

Ded and I cleaned up the yard and cleaned the mess inside the house, then we repaired the fence and fixed the shed so hopefully the freezer will be safe from further indignities.
