Saturday

Today was a good day but it is always a good day when Mommy is home. Mommy did her routine Saturday work and I helped. First Mommy went shopping while I had my morning nap. After that Mommy and I tidied up the house, wiped the furniture, went around the house with this long stick wiping the floor and we did the laundry. I love Saturday chores but I don't think Mommy likes it as much. We had a quiet evening sitting in the big chair watching TV. :) Tomorrow it is suppose to snow and we are suppose to get 15 cm (6 inches) of snow. Mommy and I will have a good time looking out the window watching the snow. :)

Treadmill

My Mommy posted my video of me on the treadmill at the kennel. That lady is Auntie Brenda and she owns the kennel. Check it out! I am a very good exerciser!

The Spa

I just got home from the spa (aka kennel). I bet you pups didn't even know I was gone because I didn't bark about it at all. Mommy had to go out of town to work and the kennel I had been going to was full and couldn't take me. So, we tried a different kennel that we call the spa. This is a very nice place too. I get my own room and I have an indoor/outdoor run. My bed is elevated off the floor. It is climate controlled with heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. The big thing that this one has that the others don't is a doggy exercise treadmill. Every day I got to exercise on the doggy treadmill. The lady told Mommy that I did well on the treadmill and they are going to send Mommy a video of me using the treadmill. Mommy says she can't wait to see it. We hope that it will load onto Dogster so all you pups can see me on the treadmill too.

Family Day

Mommy had today off because it was a holiday. In Ontario it is called "Family Day" and in Manitoba it is called "Louis Riel Day". Mommy went out for a short time and she was surprised that everything was totally closed down - all the stores were closed. We can't remember last year even though it was our first year in Ontario. Mommy says we must not have went anywhere last year so we didn't notice how everything was closed. In Manitoba "Louis Riel Day" is treated like a Sunday with stores opening at noon. I don't care about any of this. All that matters to me is my Mommy didn't have to go to work. :)

Cookies

I got Mommy to take a picture of my cookies today and post it on my page. We have a doggy bakery in town and Mommy and I picked them up yesterday. Doesn't the pizza cookie look yummy? Mommy gave me the pizza cookie to enjoy after I had supper tonight. There are crunchy little pepperoni things on the pizza that I love to pick off. Crunch, crunch, crunch. Yummy, yummy, yummy! I also ate some of the cookie. It is such a big cookie that I am saving the rest of it for tomorrow. Actually it will likely take me 3 or 4 days to finish it but I enjoy every bite!

Busy Day

I went for a ride in my SUV today. It was a beautiful sunny day which made the outing very pleasant. First Mommy stopped at the video store place to rent a blue-ray thing. She was telling me all about it on the way although I don't understand it. Somehow staring at the kindle thing is related to the blue-ray thing. She had been staring at the kindle thing reading something called "The Help". She said she finished reading "The Help" and now she wanted to watch the blue-ray thingy called "The Help". I am just barking what she told me. I know this makes no sense at all but what can I say, this is the way my Mommy thinks. Anyways after the video store we got back into my SUV. This time we went to one of my favourite places which is the doggy bakery. I love going in there and looking at all the yummies. The smells in there are also wonderful too. First I picked out one of those wonderful pizza cookies that look like a human piece of pizza. I am going to get Mommy to take a picture of it so you will know what I mean. After that I picked out a whole bag of cookies. I told the man that I wanted chicken flavoured and peanut butter flavoured cookies. I told him to throw in a few of the chocolate chip type cookies (don't eat real chocolate because it is not good for you. These have special type of chocolate that is good for pups). After we got my yummies we got back in my SUV and went home. Once we got home it was a marathon of doing laundry, wiping the furniture, using the sucky machine and wiping the floors. I got tired just supervising Mommy. After that we watched the blue-ray thing. I slept in the chair with Mommy while we were watching the blue-ray thing. It was a pleasant end to the day.

Nice Weather

Mommy went to the human doctor today to get the spray stuff for her nose for her allergies. This is a regular spring ritual. Now there won't be as much tissue for me to rip up or I should say to recycle. In its place I get to watch Mommy spraying that stuff up her nose twice per day. I usually sit in the bathroom and watch her.

On to more exciting news..... The weather has been very pleasant. This makes for more dogs walking by my house and more for me to watch and to bark at. Those pups do get the message and they just keep on walking and don't come into my yard.

Tissue Season

Tissue Season has come early this year which makes me very happy. I will explain what I mean. In the spring Mommy always starts having trouble with something called allergies and she is always using tissue so instead of calling it allergy season I call it tissue season. There is tissue boxes all over the house so Mommy never has to leave a room to get a tissue. Then of course there is all the used tissue in the garbage cans. One of my favourite past-times is to tear tissue up into tiny bits. I am only trying to help the recycling process but I don't think Mommy sees it that way. Today I got hold of my first tissue of the season and I am proud to announce that I haven't lost my touch and the tissue ended up in millions of pieces on the floor. :) I have to go now to hunt out some more tissue......... (P.S. the used tissue is always the best! :))

Treasure

My Mommy and I were going through some things today and I found a treasure! Yep, I am just so excited! What did I find? I found $9.10 in Canadian Tire money in one drawer and $42.00 in American money in a different drawer. I am rich!! Mommy says the $42.00 has been sitting there since 1991 when she made her last trip to the USA. I want to cash my money in for "stuff". Canadian Tire sells dog stuff and we have a Canadian Tire in Thunder Bay so I think we should go there first to spend my $9.10. We are only 3 hours away from Duluth so I think we should go there next. I bet Duluth has some neat doggy store where I can spend my $42.00. When can we go Mommy? If you drive me down to Duluth I will buy you some magic window food out of my $42.00. That should get Mommy going! (hee-hee)

Congratulations Malachy!

Congratulations Malachy! You looked wonderful! For those of you who don't know, Malachy is the cute pekingese that won best in show at Westminster dog show last night. It was quite exciting.

My Mommy and I really enjoyed the show last night. :)
