Birthday: October 30th 2005 Likes: Jelly most favourite thing to do is anything with her Mommy. She loves to go for car rides, go on walks, play with toys and chase squirrels. Pet-Peeves: Doesn't like grooming, not being able to go out with her Mommy, squirrels Favorite Toy: Jelly has lots of toys because she never destroys them. Her favourite toys are plush squeaker types. She plays with all her toys but her favourite is her old purple loofa dog. Favorite Food: Jelly's favourite food is chicken and turkey. It took her until 3 years of age to like kibble but she now will eat that down. She also loves healthy soft dog treats. Favorite Walk: At Clear Lake, Manitoba. She loves walking around the townsite and chasing squirrels by the beach. Best Tricks: She knows most basic obedience commands eg. sit, down, stay ,come, heel. Jelly can retrieve many of her toys by name. She can jump many different kinds of jumps, go through a tunnel and use the dogwalk. Jelly also rings the bells to go outside. Arrival Story: I have had Miniature Schnauzers for over 25 years and I always wanted an Affenpinscher. When my last schnauzer became 15 years old I decided it was time to start looking for an affenpinscher. I thought it would take me a couple of years to get one since they are relatively rare but I was very fortunate and found a really good breeder who was willing to let me have one within a couple of months. I consider myself very fortunate to be owned by Jelly. Bio: My Daddy is an American and a Canadian Champion. I have been told that I have many champion relatives in my pedigree. I am going to doggy shows. I don't know what all this champion stuff means but I love going to shows with my Mommy and my doggy relatives. I especially love all the treats and attention I get. I have also been going to doggy school. I started out in Puppy School and then I went to "Confirmation" classess where I learned how to be a show dog - stand and walk nice. Diary of the Day: I was Diary of the Day on March 5, 2007. Thank-you Dogster for supplying us with this special space to write our diaries. A very special thank-you to my Mommy for doing all my typing. My little paws do not type very well! My diary is so much fun because of all my pals who read my diary throughout the year. Very special, special thanks go to them. We just love your p-mails and the interaction that we have with you. Also I would like to thank all the pups who sent us warm wishes via p-mail, pup pal requests, rosettes and stars on my special day. Keep woofing and writing pups!
Mommy and I are talking about buying a house in Kingston. We pretty much agree on most of the things we want in the house except for one thing. My priority is a house with a fenced backed yard, patio doors or a big window to look out of, a Princess room and I want the house fully carpeted. It is the carpet that we disagree on. Mommy says no carpet because it is better for something called allergies. I want carpet! I hate slippery floors. Mommy loves the floors where we live now because there is no carpet. I only have a couple of small throw rugs to play on and the puzzle pieces on my Princess room floor. It is very pathetic to see a sweet little affie trying to play with all her toys on a tiny piece of carpet. Just think of the fun I could have in a house that was fully carpeted!
That bad pup "Notme" came to my house last night. What did he do you ask? He had the nerve to pee-pee on my floor in my Princess Room. A pee-pee pad was only a couple of feet away and he didn't use it but did the pee-pee right on the floor. I never pee-pee on the floor and only use the pee-pee pads when I am desperate. Mommy got up in the morning and saw the pee-pee. (at least she didn't step in it! BOL!) She said, "Jelly, what is this?" I ran away fast and went into my tent in Mommy's room. I wanted to stay far away from what that bad pup "Notme" did. Mommy cleaned it up and my Princess Room is as good as new. I hope "Notme" stays away from my house.
My diary entries lately have been about snow but now it is about rain. It is raining and raining and raining here this weekend. Mommy said we are suppose to get 70 mm (2 3/4 inches) of rain this weekend. The last time Mommy put me out I just turned around and came back in. It was raining so hard even with my rain coat on that I just couldn't potty. Mommy says she hopes that "Notme" will not show up here this weekend. I don't know what she is talking about............
