Likes: Jelly most favourite thing to do is anything with her Mommy. She loves to go for car rides, go on walks, play with toys and chase squirrels.
Pet-Peeves: Doesn't like grooming, not being able to go out with her Mommy, squirrels
Favorite Toy: Jelly has lots of toys because she never destroys them. Her favourite toys are plush squeaker types. She plays with all her toys but her favourite is her old purple loofa dog.
Favorite Food: Jelly's favourite food is chicken and turkey. It took her until 3 years of age to like kibble but she now will eat that down. She also loves healthy soft dog treats.
Favorite Walk: At Clear Lake, Manitoba. She loves walking around the townsite and chasing squirrels by the beach.
Best Tricks: She knows most basic obedience commands eg. sit, down, stay ,come, heel. Jelly can retrieve many of her toys by name. She can jump many different kinds of jumps, go through a tunnel and use the dogwalk. Jelly also rings the bells to go outside.
Arrival Story: I have had Miniature Schnauzers for over 25 years and I always wanted an Affenpinscher. When my last schnauzer became 15 years old I decided it was time to start looking for an affenpinscher. I thought it would take me a couple of years to get one since they are relatively rare but I was very fortunate and found a really good breeder who was willing to let me have one within a couple of months. I consider myself very fortunate to be owned by Jelly.
Bio: My Daddy is an American and a Canadian Champion. I have been told that I have many champion relatives in my pedigree. I am going to doggy shows. I don't know what all this champion stuff means but I love going to shows with my Mommy and my doggy relatives. I especially love all the treats and attention I get. I have also been going to doggy school. I started out in Puppy School and then I went to "Confirmation" classess where I learned how to be a show dog - stand and walk nice. I am also going to obedience and agility classes. I just love doggy school!

Dog of the Day: I was Dog of the Day on October 24, 2006. Thank-you Dogster! A special thanks to all my dogster pals who sent me warm wishes on this special day. You really made this a special day for me.
Diary of the Day: I was Diary of the Day on March 5, 2007. Thank-you Dogster for supplying us with this special space to write our diaries. A very special thank-you to my Mommy for doing all my typing. My little paws do not type very well! My diary is so much fun because of all my pals who read my diary throughout the year. Very special, special thanks go to them. We just love your p-mails and the interaction that we have with you. Also I would like to thank all the pups who sent us warm wishes via p-mail, pup pal requests, rosettes and stars on my special day. Keep woofing and writing pups!
I barked about my paw techniques yesterday with the magic bed and the TV changing thingy. My pal Tyson is good at shutting off the buzzy clock that always ruins a pup's beauty sleep. I decided I had to learn how to shut off the buzzy clocks too. I have an extra big challenge with buzzy clocks because we have three of them. Yes, you heard me three of them! Actually two are buzzy clocks and one is the loudest ringing ever. One is on the table at one side of the bed, the other is on a table at the other side of the bed and one is up real high where Mommy has to get out of bed to shut it off. Mommy says it depends on how tired she is how many of these clocks she will set. She also said if I did my job and woke her up when the clock starts to buzz she wouldn't need three clocks. Grrrrrr............ How can a pup ever shut off three buzzy clocks?
Today is Sunday and usually Sunday is a zero buzzy clock day but not this Sunday. This morning it was a two buzzy clock morning. Grrrrr.......... I hate that. Why would we need to get up on Sunday??? Mommy says she has to go to work today for a few hours. Grrrrrrrr.....!!! I sure wish I could shut those buzzy clocks off. I wonder if my pal Tyson would know what to do with all my buzzy clocks????
My pal Tyson barked in his diary the details of how to turn off the buzzy clock. He says the trick is to practice lots with using your paws. I am very good at using my paws so I should be good at turning off the buzzy clock.
I wanted to share with you pups how I use my paws. The first trick needs a magic bed which some of you pups may not have. It is a bed that goes up and down with the head and up and down with the feet and gives just the best massages. It is the massages that I like the best. You have to find the thingy that your humans press to make the magic bed work. Some humans put it on the side table and others just leave it in the bed. I am a very lucky pup because my Mommy usually leaves it in the bed. You just take your front paws and press all those buttons until the bed starts to give a massage. Sometimes it will go up and down and you will know you are pressing the wrong button. Once the massage starts you stretch out on the bed for the best massage ever. The next very useful trick has to do with the TV. You need a TV in the bedroom for this trick. Again, the humans have a thingy that they press to change the channels and turn it off and on. You have to find that thingy which again will either be on the side table or in the bed. Humans will quite often fall asleep with the TV on just the most boring channel. You again take your front paws and press on the buttons until you get your favouite Animal Planet station. While your human snores away you can relax and watch the animals which sure beats what the human's had on.
If you don't have a magic bed or a TV in your bedroom then you should ask for them for Christmas. Before long you too will be laying on the magic bed enjoying a massage and watching Animal Planet.
I am off now to learn how to operate the buzzy clock................. Thanks Tyson for the instructions!
I was happy yesterday when Mommy got home. She was late getting home but still it was Friday and I was so happy that the weekend was here. I have barked many times about how much I enjoy the weekend because Mommy is at home. I was at home this morning until the alarm clock went off just like on a work day. It must of been a mistake I said. Mommy then gets up and starts to get ready for work. Mommy is really confused, I wonder if she is feeling well? Then she told me that she had to work ALL day Saturday. Oh, no!!! What about the weekend??? Doesn't a princess diva future Mommy dog like me that stays home nice all week deserve to have a weekend with Mommy??? This isn't fair! Can any pup help???
