Fun with Grandma and Grandpa!

Woo! What a delightful evening had by all! Mommy and Daddy went on a trip to a far away land they called "East Lansing" to "visit with friends" this evening. So I was the luckiest little puppy in the world and got to go hang out with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple hours! Yay!

I got to run around full blast in their huge back yard, go on a nice long walk with Grandpa, eat a pig's ear while Grandma pedalled on her new exercise bike (something about rehabbing her knee after surgery? I had surgery once and didn't need rehab... I did look silly with a shaved belly tho...), played with my squirrel, munched on a busy bone, peed outside like a good girl AND took a nap on the newly refinished hardwood floor.

And now it's late and this little puppy needs to go to bed. I'm tuckered out!!

New Teeth!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while! Mommy and Daddy and I have been running around like crazy lately! Lets see, I'm now 23 lbs (mommy calls me porkchop) and growing everyday. I've begun to lose my baby teeth and my big girl teeth are starting to come in. Mommy and Daddy are being so patient as I chew on EVERYTHING. They've even been freezing my Kongs to make my teeth feel better. :)

It's been an interesting week, here in our little house. Earlier in the week, mommy and daddy we're "cat sitting" grandma's "cats." I think that may be the name of the furry, mobile squeak toys, but I'm still not certain. So in addition to my "sister" grumbling at me, there were two more fuzzies making these horrible growling and hissing sounds as I tried to sit on them! Don't they know that is a proper and polite greeting? So I tried to give them an even grander welcome by standing on them. They just wouldn't stand still, so I had to chase them around. ::big sigh:: None of them wanted to play with me, and they just glared at me after I gave them kisses. Meanie kitties...

So they went home (yay!) and now mommy and daddy are dog sitting a toy Yorkie named Sophie. She's so little! I tried to greet her with the standard sit on you then stand on you, and she would have none of it! She's been making worse noises than the cat!

I guess I just can't win.

Phew! What a walk!!

Daddy took me on a 40 minute walk today! It was awesome! And I dazzled him by remembering what Mommy taught me the other day - To always sit and look both ways before crossing the street! I love when Mommy and Daddy take me on walks. It's so much fun!! :)

I can't hold it forever!

My mommy felt so bad this morning... She and Daddy figured out that if they closed the bedroom door at night that they couldn't hear me barking. Mommy said she "needed some sleep," whatever that means! Thats all fine and dandy, but she couldn't hear me barking to be let out this morning! Silly human even slept through her alarm! (She has the alarm set to wake up nice and early to let me out and play for a bit before work) I couldn't hold it and piddled in my crate. When mommy came out to FINALLY let me out I just looked at her sadly, then at the puddle. She let me out and I went potty again (or at least tried!). I'm glad she didn't yell at me (since I wasn't caught in the act, ha ha). The rest of the day was pretty fun. Hung out with Daddy while he and Grandpa hooked up the washer.

Now if I could just get my paws on that grey fluffy thing that lives in the basement... Now THAT would be fun! Daddy calls her my "sister" but I've never heard such a weird bark, and she's a really ugly dog! She keeps making this strange "meow" sound...

Silly Humans, don't they know how smart I am??

It only took me 2 days to figure out how to climb over the baby gate. Sure, I'll be able to jump over it with ease when I'm all grown up, but climbing is more fun! I'm getting stronger everyday too... I mastered jumping up on the couch too.

Mom was sure surprized when she came home for lunch yesterday and I was sitting on the couch, happily nibbling on my squirrel.

Last night they put me in my crate for bed and slept in a different room! How dare they!! So I howelled and howelled and no one came... I finally just conked out like a sleepy baby. But no accidents in the house for a couple days now! Yay!

How good am I??

So today was Mom and Dad's first day at work since they got me on Saturday. Mom left really early (after I had breakfast and went potty a couple times) and then Dad left around 9. I was so lonely!! But I had all of my favorite toys with me. Silly humans, they let me have the whole kitchen to play in! But since I wasn't just locked up in my crate, I figured I'd be a good girl. Mom came home for lunch just in time!! I had to go potty so bad!! But I was a good girl and held it until she could let me out.

I guess this whole living with a family thing isn't so bad! Now if only I could just learn my name... I bet my parents would like that! :)
