Arrival Story:
Floyd was bred by a back yard breeder who was going to have him put down because he had an umbilical hernia - a very common and easily repaired problem. A local rescue group learned of their plans and convinced the breeder to surrender him to them instead.
We had recently lost our special boy Quentin, and although we hadn't planned on adding another dog to the family so soon, we couldn't pass Floyd up. I have always loved Basset Hounds, and knew he'd be a great addition to our family. We adopted him on July 8/06.
