Arrival Story:
Grady was a rescue from a vet. We were in the process of getting a Great Dane puppy, Brett. Brett was born half the size of the rest of the litter, we loved him from the moment we saw him, but the breeder was unsure about his development, and wanted us to hold off getting him or making a final commitment to allow us to bring him home. She offered a replacement, but our heart was set on Brett, so we waited. In the meantime I had also been checking out the rescues and came accross Grady as a courtesy listing for a vet. We made an appointment and went to see him, we felt that he was a good match and with a little work would be a wonderful dog. We gave our references and waited for the call. It came the next day and we immediately picked up Grady and from then on he has been wonderful and has settled right in. We also a couple of weeks later received the call that Brett would be able to come and live with also. Upon a behaviorist recommendation he had informed us that Grady would do better with having another dog in the house that he could play with. Well it was not love at first site, but it did nto take long after we brought Brett home, for them to be fast buddies. Grady has grown from being the rescue dog to a family dog. He loves his brother and they are inseperable. He enjoys his life, and all it offers, especially if it includes the couch. Grady has crossed the rainbow bridge at to young of an age to kidney failure. Miss you Buddy!!

My Tail of Devotion for Grady

Grady is what I have always wanted in a dog. He loves me unconditionally, makes me laugh when I am down, and snuggles with me when I need the comfort us just the closeness. He knows what everyone in the house needs and gives it freely without question.

I would have never thought that you in such a short time could have changed our household so much. Sometimes I feel inadequate to be owning you. Then I think about the family that had you first that neglected and abused you, they never took the opportunity to accept the many gifts you were giving. That you are the dog you are today, even all that you have been through, makes you the special dog to our family that you are.

This is a special Tail of Devotion
