Arrival Story:
I found Peanut on Petfinder.com. I was looking for a female full-blooded dachshund for a playmate for Lilly. I ran across a male dachshund mix instead. In the ad, his face looked so scared in his cage at the shelter (see scared cage picture to the left) so I had to at least go to see him. The shelter was a very small cramped shacklike place in the middle of the country. Once I took him out of the small crate, he acted so sweet, crawled onto my lap and stared at me. Of course, there was no way I could leave without him.
