Not on dogster much..but having loads of fun!

I just wanted to write and tell all of our pup pals that we won't be on dogster much. We were on vacation in the mountains of NH for a while...boy was that lovely!!! Now, mommys computer has a problem and she has to get it fixed before school starts. They are sending the pc out and she may not have it for a month!! We haveloads of new pics when we get the pc back and lots of fun storis from vacation!! See you all soon!!

Woofday Weekend

So, today is Nala and my eighth woofday! Mommy and daddy took us camping to celebrate. We left Thursday and we were *supposed* to come home today. However, I hurt my paw!!! They had to bring us home yesterday...talk about stinky. At least we got to do some cool hiking first. Since I have joint problems already, mom didn't want to chance any more trouble. I hurt my front paw but mom thought I might put more weight on my back (not so good) legs and do more damage there. So, in the car we went and we came home. Mom is gonna take me to grampas today after I goto the vet! So, it will still be a fab woofday!

Please help me help strays!!

I will be walking in a pet walk next Sunday. The proceeds of this walk will go to our local no-kill shelter. Mom used to volunteer at this shelter, but now lives a little too far away to do that and she wants to keep supporting them by taking me and Daisy out to this. surgery...again :(

Well, today I went to my vet for a recheck of the dark spot on my nose and the lump on my lip and the lump on my tail...and as "luck" would have it, we also found another lump on my side...so I had to go under the knife. Mom knew it was a possibility as the vet told her to fast me for this appointment...but she was hoping I wouldn't need it. Mom worries about me so much...she says its cause she loves me so...but I wish she wouldn't worry. I think it'll be a few days before the biopsy results come back...so I will update everyone then..wish me luck. Oh, and tell my momma I'm going to be fine..I know she feels so sad and nervous about me..and I don't want her to feel like that. Sometimes she tells herself I am immortal, but days like today, she doesn't feel so sure.

I got a message today from my pal Rocky (http://www.dogster.com/dogs/320513) today and it said I was in the blog! I wrote up this petition for a somewhat local pup named Princess...and now..I'm in the blog YAY!

More importantly...PRINCESS is in the blog... you can see some pics of this sweet girl on my page... but here is a link to the blog entry and also to my petition! What happened to Princess is horrific...but, just so everyone knows...last I heard she was doing better...send her lotsa doggie well wishes and good karma..she needs it.

whoooo...what a week.

So this week started off not too nice. First thing Monday morning...I had to see my vet! They gave me shots and really pestered me...but I survived...and got a cookie...problem solved.

Then..I had an interview at the doggy daycare thatDaisy Mae goes to. I passed and did wonderful...so I started Day care on Wednesday. Hated it. Totally not fun when mom LEAVES! I likd it when mom stayed and played with me...but I am not playing without my moma...forget it! I sat by the door and did some whining...trying to remind the workers that I only play when mom is around. They told mom to give me more time and see if I "warmed up" but I didn't. So mom eventually picked me up. They say I should go on a day when Daisy Mae is gonna be there..maybe I will play then. Mom doesn't think so though, because I am so protective of my Daisy Mae..I wouldn't want to let anyone else play with her.

Then..yesterday mom took Daisy and I to the dog park!! This place is heaven! It's like daycare...without mom missing! Fab! Mom kept saying "Cera, Come!" then I would go running over to her and get a treat...then go play again. That crazy Daisy Mae kept climbing up this ramp thing...but I knew better. I wasn't climbing anything...a girl has to maintain her dignity and climbing stuff is purely for entertainment of the two-leggers. Not my thang.

When we got home from the park...I was ready for about a ten hour nap...but mom had something else in mind...something sinister.. a bath!!!!!!!!! Way to ruin my day, mom. I can't help it if I needed to cool off in mud puddles at the park! Ugh..so I was all stinky fruity smelling the rest of the day...

I just heard mom say we were going to the dog park again today...sweet! I hope there won't be another bath in my future...

My friend Lady went to the bridge yesterday...R.I.P. Lady

My friend Lady is a Rottweiler. She is such a pretty girl, like me. She likes to swim, just like me. Her daddy and mommy loved her so much, just like mine love me. So, why did she have to go to the bridge already??

I just don't get it. Cancer is so mean.

Her pawrents didn't want to just keep her alive in the haze of pain pills, and the vet couldn't operate. Plus, the stupid cancer was spreading so fast. I'm so scared of cancer :(. I hope no other pup ever has to have it. I miss my friend Lady already. I hope she feels better now that she is at the bridge. She will be missed here on Earth.

My crazy momma really loves me...and dad thinks she is off- the deep end

Well, it is official. My mom is going to have my pawprint tattooed over her heart!! She must really think I am fab... well, of course I am!!! Mom talked to the tattoo guy and confirmed that he could get a print of my paw without causing me any harm...so it is a go! When mom gte sit done, she will post a picture here for all to see!!
