I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and I hope this turns out to be a great year for all of you. Time really does fly right past you, this June will be my third anniversary on Dogster. My first few months in 2006 were great, I had made a lot of new friends and I had fun. I remember back when I was celebrating with my Dogster pals the arrival of 2007!
2007 was also a good year, full of happy times, but towards summer I kind of given up on Dogster, many good friends have left and I realized I had a life to get back to. Since then I've been on and off Dogster repeatedly. I don't post on forums much and I only talk to good friends, maybe if things weren't so different I would be more active. Oh well, time goes on, and the only thing you can do is go with it.
I hope everyone welcomes this year without hesitation and will go out to make this year worth while. :)

I saw a thread in the forums that was my perfect opportunity to thank Dogster for the grave impact on my life. I would just like to share my post with everyone:
When I first came on Dogster, I did not expect anything like what I have received through the years. I treated Dogster as just another website, thinking in a year or so I would forget all about it. At the time I did not view everything the way I do now. I treated everything as if it were a big game.
I was surprised when I met such kind, welcoming Dogsters. I made some new friends, friends I knew at that moment I would never forget. I was right, I will never forget any of you wonderful people that are happy to see me when I come on and had missed me during my long hiatus. Dogster has brought me through good times and bad times, and I am thankful for every moment. Dogster has taught me just how valuable friends and memories can be. I must say myself that I have matured in great measure since I first came on, let alone became a better dog owner, and I owe it all to the wonderful people and pups I have met, and I would love to continue making new friends and spending a little more time with my current friends. Dogster will always play a significant role in my life. Thank you, Dogster. I love you all!

Christmas 2007 was way more fun than last year. It was our first Christmas in our new house. Relatives from New Mexico came to visit, and guess what? I didn't knock down the tree! Not once! Whoohoo! And a good thing too, because mom bought some new, pretty ornaments. On Christmas Eve, mom baked some yummy cookies for Sandy Paws (of course I sneaked just a few... okay maybe half of the batch.) Mom sprinkled some reindeer food over the grass of our backyard. Now I can always have a snack when she takes me outside! But also, tons squirrels have been snooping around our backyard. They had a taste of the food, so they always keep coming back for more.
Anyway, we did all of our Christmas Eve traditions, such as opening one present before Christmas Day. My present was a bag of new "tasty" dog kibble. Thankfully, there were more, better presents for me. Like, thousands of new toys! And a new bed that's much more comfortable than my other one! Later, on Christmas Day, friends from our old neighborhood came for Christmas dinner.
I hope everypup else had a wonderful time, no matter what you celebrate.

I was tagged by Luke, Cheeko, and Rusty!
The Rules: If you are tagged, you need to write, in your diary, 7 random facts about yourself and the rules of the game. You then need to choose 7 dogs to tag and put their names and anything else you want (link, ID#, etc) in the same diary entry. You have to let all of them know they have been tagged, and tell them to read this entry!
My Facts:
1. Everyone calls me GG.
2. My ears are very poofy.
3. I am impatient and a quick learner.
4. I am in the Guinness World Records book for Largest Ego.
5. When I feel sad or guilty, I always IM a good friend who can cheer me up and make me forget about my worries.
6. I love long car rides.
7. I was the runt of the litter.
If you want to play, just say you were tagged by me. ;)

Mom had a crazy dream last night. It wasn't a nightmare or anything, it was actually a happy dream. In the dream, an old pal of mine from Dogster [who isn't on Dogster anymore] came back, and we started having good times like we used to.

Mom and I moved into a new neighborhood during summer break. Mom's brother moved out, so my owners wanted to down-size. Our old house was like a mansion! They were tired from hours of cleaning and yard work to do in such a huge house; so now we live in a small, yellow house with the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, sun room, bonus room, and two bathrooms all downstairs. In one of the bathrooms, there is a hidden staircase to one of the attics. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a buddy bathroom, and in one of the bedrooms is a staircase to the second attic.
Our backyard is different too. In our old house, our backyard was big with a huge patio and it was literally a forest back there! Now, we have a very small backyard with only a few trees, and a tiny patio that has two chairs and a side table. We're also beside the Prestonwood Golf Course, so we have a beautiful view.
I kind of miss our old neighborhood because we had a lot of nice people Mom and I have known our whole lives. We miss going to block parties and seeing all our friends there. We also miss walking home from the Country Club, because we used to live super close. But changes are just a part of life, hm?
