 Quick Bio:
Likes: Her plush Duckie, anything edible (especially peanut butter & homemade frosty paws) & anything that squeeks

Pet-Peeves: Not always having her way, having to learn lots of new things, not being able to play with the cats or eat their food

Favorite Toy: The latest favorite is Duckie, a plush duck with a "quaker" in his stomach. She also loves her squeaky cow and rawhide bones...and anything that doesn't belong to her (wait - everything is hers, right?)

Favorite Food: She likes everything so far (except currents)

Favorite Walk: In the fields behind our house where she can run through the high grass

Best Tricks: High five, Wave, Crawl

Arrival Story: We were going to "rescue" a Lab from a friend of ours. The parents were tired of being responsible for their daughter's dog (we won't even begin to go into those long details) but when it came down to it, they decided to keep him. We never thorught we wanted a dog until we realized we had really been looking forward to getting him...
We have looked at dogs over the years but just didn't have the time or space. Now we have both so we started looking at Labs, Goldens and Newf, the latter always being our first choice for their laid back personalities and the fact that they can be active if you want them to and chilled out otherwise.
So we visited a few breeders in our areas, one with Newfs and one with Goldens...Labs got dropped off the list since they are pretty hyper and demand a whole lot of attention. The Golden's quickly joined that group and we were left with the little black teddy bear puppies. Since this is our first puppy, we took our breeder's advice to get a girl and Ayla was the only one in black. She's always been the most active and loving of the group so it was a pretty natural choice for us anyway.

Forums Motto: Are those treats in your pocket for me??
