Winter's coming...

...and I can't wait! Mom says we're getting ice, but I don't want that, I'm anxious for the S N O W ! ! ! My little sister, Louise, was found on the side of the highway in the middle of winter, so I'm a little worried that she's not going to like the snow as well as I do...but I think that after a bit, she'll love to play in it as much as I do!

Whew, I'm lucky!

My little sister, Louise, got a bath tonight and I somehow managed to not get a bath! I could hear my mom struggling with her a little bit, I think she jumped out of the tub at least once, but that's because mom is used to me, I'm too big to slither past her.

Louise smells pretty good, though, but I think she's pouting a little bit. I can't blame her, I don't like the bath either...but it's totally not fair, because mom runs the blower on me, and Louise just gets to air dry.

Oh well, I won't complain about that much, because mom has her jammies on, so that means she's going to bed and I don't have to take a bath, at least not tonight. Hooray!

I now have a little sister!

Hey everyone, I got a little sister this week! Her name is Louise. She came with a name already, but we've been calling her Weezers. She's a cute little black thing and I'm so excited to have her here.

Sometimes she gets a little bit growly with me, but I'm a pretty laid back dude. When she growls at me, I just go flop down somewhere. I think she might be intimidated by my size, but that's just something that I can't help. I just figure that if I share my toys, and don't get mad if she takes my chewies, she'll decide that I'm alright all of the time. She's never lived in a house so she's getting used to everything, I know that it will take some time.

She's new here in my house, so I just feel compelled to sniff at her all of the time. I think this annoys her, but I can't help it, I always want one more sniff! Maybe I'll get over this eventually.

Anyway, I just wanted to share the wonderful news with everyone

So, here are 7 facts about me!

1. I love to lay in the bathtub during the summer, and since I've grown, I can take up every inch of it!!!
2. I don't really like any toys, but my mom washes out and takes all of the dangerous stuff off of empty 64oz juice bottles, and I LOVE to play with those...only mom says my backyard looks like we have trash thrown around it!
3. After spending way too much money on giant dog beds for me (that I would always tear up), my mom broke down and bought a really expensive one that was guaranteed for tenacious chewers...well, I had a hole in that thing within 15 minutes! Mom got her money back so she's not too mad, and besides, I don't really like to lay on a dog bed, that's what the couch is for!!!
4. I still think I'm a lap dog...I walk up to my mom or my sister when they're sitting on the couch and set my rump on their laps, it's so comfy :)
5. I love to snuggle up to my family and I rub against them as though I'm a big giant cat!
6. I'm totally through my chewing stage, unless we're talking about a new dog bed, or a roll of toilet paper...I love, love, love to tear up toilet paper, it's so much fun and it makes a wonderful, naughty mess! Mom has to keep it in the bathroom cupboard or else I'll get it when I go to take a snooze in the bathtub!
7. Kind of gross, but in the winter, I nudge the snow over my poop to hide it, then my mom can't find it...ha ha ha ha We found lots of mushy messes when the snow finally melted, and I wanted NOTHING to do with them!

Snow AGAIN! Yippee! ! !

Alright! We got more snow...I'm so glad because the snow we got earlier in the week all melted away. It is SO much fun to go rip-roaring around the yard in the snow, trying to check out every inch of it and checking to see if it all tastes the same...I'm pretty sure that it does, but I'm still making sure.

The best thing about the snow is that it cleans my feet off after I've dug a hole...my mom likes that part the best!

I hope all my pals out there get to enjoy some snow soon, and if you live where it doesn't snow, I hope you get to experience it some day :) *woof*

We got snow last night!!!

Oh my gosh, I had nearly forgotten about the cold white stuff! I was soooo excited when my mom let me outside this morning, I ran around and around and around in the snow, then I stopped to eat some, then I ran around some more! It has almost all melted now, but it's a sign that winter is coming.

There was snow on the ground when my mom and sister first brought me home, but that seems like so long ago, and I had forgotten all about it after the sooo hot summer that we had.

Man, I can't wait until more snow comes, but shhhhh, don't tell my mom I said that, she's scared to drive on the slippery roads!

I miss my big sister today...

My big sister started school again today...summer was so much fun, she and I were able to hang out together A LOT more than any other time since I came home.

Mom always comes home to walk me at lunch time, but I just like being around my sister. I miss being able to scrunch her on the couch...it's so much fun to stretch out on the whole couch and lay my head on her lap, and she's so sweet, she won't get up until I get up first and she always lets me have way more of the couch than she gets.

I will be SOOOOOO excited when she comes home from school today, mom had certainly better move the plant that's on a stand near the front door...my tail has been whacking it when I go to the front door to greet someone I know, but with my sister coming home from the first day of school, I know my tail is going to be out of control and I can't be held responsible for killing a plant if I'm not intentionally doing so...at least that's what I think!

Whoa, it's sure hot!

We had 106 degrees today, I can hardly stand it!!! After I did my thing outside, I was ready to come right back inside...immediately! I've been hanging out in my favorite spot, the bathtub, off and on today...it's so cool on my belly, you guys ought to try it sometime ;)

I'm really hoping that it will cool off soon...I did manage to have a bit of fun earlier this evening and cool off when our sprinklers turned on while I was out. It sure feels nice to lay on the wet grass in the shade and let the water fall on me :)

It's after 10pm right now, and it's still 90 degrees...keep your fingers crossed that it cools down this week!

Fireworks *YIKES*

I was out front last night with mom and sis...just hanging out on the porch and keeping an eye on things...and our neighbors across the street came outside, too. I was so excited, they always come over and pet me and tell me how handsome I am! Well, they came to see me for a little bit, but then went back and started making these little things explode, and they started making other things glow and shine in all different colors. It was really no big deal, I went back to my favorite spot to watch.

BUT THEN our other neighbors (the ones who never come to pet me) started making other things explode in the sky, with a really loud bang and I was scared to death, it was like nothing I'd ever heard before! I couldn't find a place to hide so mom took me inside. I ran to my kennel, but I could still hear the bangs, so I ran to the bathtub...but I could still hear the bangs from there, too...so I ran back to my kennel and I couldn't help but whine. I was so confused, my safe places didn't feel safe!

So mom took my favorite giant pillow and put it in her room, which is in the back of the house. I usually don't sleep in there because I like to keep an eye on the whole house, but mom turned on the fan and I layed down and could barely hear the explosions...and was able to rest. Mom says we're going out to the country for the weekend to visit one of our favorite friends, so I won't hear any loud banging anymore. I am SO relieved!

I got micro-chipped today!

I got to go to the vet today and see my favorite person in the whole world (besides my mom and sister)...Dr. Cole. I love going to see her, she always takes the time to talk to me and pet me, and pet me some more. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure why we even go there, other than for me to get attention from her, if she does anything to me, I don't even notice. Mom says I got micro-chipped, whatever that means, I don't remember anything out of the ordinary except for getting a biscuit and Dr. Cole looking at my shoulders. All in all, I had a great time :)
