I am turning 3

What a busy few months it has been for me since Mommy last made a diary entry.I went visiting family again for Christmas and have made a few other trips since then to both Grandma's houses and to Daddy's too.I even stayed a whole week with my daddy in April. I met more family members and love my cousins Nate and Kaylie as much as I love my cousin Austin.My Uncle Jordan gradauted from high school,so that was another trip for me.Lots of traveling the past few months.We only have 1 more big trip planned in a couple weeks then we are home for a while.
I have decided that getting my nails clipped isn't as bad as I thought and I don't HATE it now.Still not my favorite but ya know.The special girl that always clipped them for me has left so I have my first experience without her this week-I will do my best to be good.
Mommy and Daddy tell me I am turning 3 yrs old this week(on the 10th).I have the greatest life and am so happy that I have been blessed with a great family that is just nutty over me.I even sometimes get tired of all the love and attention I get from my mommy and daddy.I guess I should be excited about my birthday but mostly I stay excited about life.I love Friday's when my daddy comes home and I love going and doing with mommy and daddy.Mommy says she will try to update more often.Love,Tanner

Tanner's Thankgiving 07

Thanksgiving 07 was lots of fun.Mommy and Daddy took me with them on a roadtrip to my Nana's house.I got to see all my family.I love my 2 yr old Cousin Austin to death.I follow him everywhere,and really enjoy following him around looking for the crumbs he drops.I also got to experience my first real snow.8 inchs on Thanksgiving day in Big Spring TX.Wasn't sure what I thought of it,except that mom was crazy if she thought I was going to potty woth all that stuff on the ground.We left there and went on another road trip to Daddy's house.We got to see my other grandma and grandpa and uncle Greg.They of course all think I am the cutest think ever.I was very happy and playful.I gave Grandma lots of love too.She gave me lots of turkey.We had so much fun.Mommy says we are putting up the Christmas tree today,so that should be fun for me to get into.

Tanner's turning Two

WOW 2 terrific years of life!!!I am having a birthday soon and mommy says I will be 2 years old.I love my life and would not trade a moment with mommy and daddy.I love all my extended family too.I get lots of toys and treats and life is soooooo good.Mommy changed jobs,so she is home more with me now-and I even could go to work with mommy if I wanted to.We are getting ready for summer and more outside time.It has been raining so much I have had to enjoy being inside,but I really like being outside.Mommy says we can go to the Doggie Park again soon.I can't wait for that.Mommy has a birthday too- it is ten days after mine! I have been with Mommy and Daddy a whole yr.

WOOF, WOOF- that means what's up in doggie talk.It has been so long since my last diary entry.So much has happened.I got to meet some very special people at Thanksgiving-my daddy's family.My grandma and grandpa and uncle Greg-just love me.I got to eat lots of turkey and spent 4 days traveling with mommy and daddy.Then lots of the same for Christmas.I went back to grandma and grandpa's house and then to my Nana and Uncle Jordan's house too.I met more new people at Nana's and enjoyed playing with all my new toys and bones from all my stockings.I really enjoyed playing with my cousin Austin(he is 16 months old-born 2 months after me).My daddy spent the whole week between Christmas and New Year's with us and mommy only worked 3 days that week-so we all had lots of cuddling and sleeping in together.January has brought lots of cold weather so far. Today-something I had never seen before-it is WHITE AND REALLY COLD.Mommy calls it SNOW!At first I was unsure about it and just barked at it,but now I just want to run and play in it ,and mommy can't get me back inside.January is a special month for us-because I have been with mommy and daddy a whole year on the 27th.What a wonderful year it has been-I am so blessed.I had my yearly check-up a couple weeks ago and weigh 15.5 lbs(4 lbs more than a year ago).I got all my shots and really liked the new vet(and I was a perfect boy).I am a spoiled rotten little boy and mommy is always telling daddy not to give me so many kisses(but I like them alot).I think mommy might be a little jealous and want kisses too.My mommy says I am the light in her life and my daddy says I am the best dog ever.My cat-brother is still trying to get me to just leave him alone.My first year has been really special-I have lots of people to love me and who let me love them.I still sleep under the covers with mommy and love to cuddle and play all day everyday.I hope all the rest of my years are as perfect as this one has turned out to be.Love to all-Tanner!

Having a great Autumn

Wooof to everyone! I am having such a great autumn.I love that it is finally cool enough for me to stay outside for more than 5 minutes.I love my new yard and run and play alot.I even finally played ball with Daddy last weekend.Mommy and I love the new house.I have finaly outgrown the chewing on things stage and never have an accident in the house anymore.What a perfect boy mommy says I am.Mommy and daddy said we are going to the dog park soon and I can't wait to go run with other doggies again.Mommy wants to take me to Barktoberfest 06 at Ft Woof-wonder if that means she will be buying me a custome to wear.Hope everyone is doing great and has a great Autumn like me.

My new house

We moved to our new house this past week.I finally have a yard to run and play in.Mommy and I would love to find people and other doxies in Granbury or surrounding areas to play with.Mommy says we will be going to play at Ft.Woof sometime soon so maybe I can make new friends there.I miss my friend Spirit from my old apartment,but mommy says we are going to love it here.I get to see my daddy all the time now too.We have lots more room inside and mommy is busy getting things all pretty for us.I will update again soon.Love to all-Tanner

My first 4th of July with my family

Hello to all my buddies.I haven't written in a couple weeks.They have been a pretty long couple weeks too. I was attacked by a rottweiler I had been playing with here at home.Didn't hurt me too much,but mommy had to to me to the dr because my leg was hurt,and she was worried.I was ok within a couple days,but still not sure about getting close to any big dogs.That dog was only visiting his grandma,so doesn't live here,so I am not too scared now.No broken bones,and I am all good now.After this I had an upset stomach for a few days,but mommy has taken care of that too and I am back to my old self again now-happy and playful.All smiles!
My grandma came to visit and my aunt and cousin Austin.He is only 10 months old and I love him to death.He just cackles when I give him kisses in the face,and he crawls as fast as I can run-so there is no getting away from him.We have a great time and make everyone laugh when we play together.Mommy says we have some other friends coming in a couple weeks with a little girl who is 5.I am sure I will love her.
My daddy has also been here spending the long weekend with us-4 whole days(which makes me and mommy very happy) .I love when he is here and miss him when he leaves.He and mommy spoil me so much and my life is soooooooooo great. I have come a long way from that sad little dog in a cage at the pound.I feel like a prince and would not trade a minute of it-from sleeping as close as I can get to my mommy(under the covers) to running at the dog park,to lots of treats and toys and love-life is good.I am soooooooooo blessed.

Fun morning

Hello and woof to all my buddies.Mommy and I went to the dog park this morning and had a blast.I played with a bunch of other doxies and mommy talked to their owners.It was very muddy and I was covered after rolling in the mud for over an hour.Mommy brought me home and gave me a bath and now it is time for a long restful nap.I love days when mommy is home with me all day.I just wish daddy was here all the time to enjoy things with us.I can't wait to go back to the dog park again and meet more new friends and convince them to chase me(the fastest dog in the world)all over the place.Mommy says I have been a very good little boy lately.Love and doggie kisses,Tanu-nanu(my new nick name)

Lazy Weekend

I have had a great weekend.Friday was my birthday(we think)My daddy came to see us and we are always pretty lazy together.I love cuddling and sleeping late with Daddy.I haven't felt really good this weekend and that made the resting even better.I am feeling much better now and wishing it wasn't so hot outside and daddy didn't have to go home so early today,so we could have gone to the dog park this evening.He said something about getting home to watch the Mavs game tonight.It's ok though,because he fed me ice cream before he left and that cooled me off some.Mommy says I am doing really good at housetraining and she is very excited that I might be out of the chewing on everything stage and that I am starting to chew on my toys and bones.I am gonna go take another nap and enjoy the rest of my Sunday afternoon with mommy home with me-before she has to go back to work tomorrow. Tan-Man turns 1

I am having a birthday this month.Mommy says I am turning 1 yr old.I had a tough start in life and spent a little while in the Humane Society,but life is really good now.I have been with mommy since the end of Jan.She and daddy love me very much.I pretty much rule the roost around here-but for some reason my cat-brother thinks he does.Mommy and daddy tell me that I am a very handsome boy and that I am adorable.Mommy says I look like a sausage and calls me her sausage man.I have had an exciting last few months.I have done a little traveling and went to my grandma's house for Easter.Mommy left me for the first time last weekend-here at home with daddy while she was out of town and I did fine except for peeing in the bed while daddy was sleeping. Oh well-daddy and mommy both thought it was a little funny.But I know I should not do that!My life seems to be turning out pretty great.I am spoiled rotten,have lots of people who love me,get to spend alot of time at the dog park,and have lots and lots of toys and bones.Mommy says she thinks I am a keeper and she wouldn't trade me for anything.Daddy loves me bunches and my cat-brother Nikki(Fritz) isn't really sure if I should stay here or go away-he just wishes I would leave him alone and not torment him so much.Just my fun puppy self trying to have some fun with him.My first yr turned out perfect and I am looking forward to lots more good times with my family.
