Going down to the shack to visit with Boss! RUNNING! Asserting myself in the exercise yard!
Being stuck on my stakeout when I should be a Girlfriend in the shack.
Down the hill to the shack, of course!
Standing braced against my chain on my hind legs to give Boss a "high 8" when he comes through the gate into the kennel.
Lara was one of the L-litter, born a SEPPALA SIBERIAN SLEDDOG at Seppala Kennels in the Yukon. It was a very special litter and each one of them knows it. Lara spent time in the shack a year or so ago when she had her first litter, the D-litter (Darka and her sisters), and she has never forgotten that time and never accepted going back to the kennel. She would do ANYTHING to gain Girlfriend status, and Tonya and Lizzy had better watch their backs!
Lara was sired by dear departed Sepallop, a "Hank" son, out of our best broodbitch Kolyma of Seppala. She's headed for lead-dog status next winter and probably for more litters -- her D-litter was quite an achievement. She was a SUPER mother (after getting over the shock of giving birth to what she must have thought was a ground-squirrel); she's just a small thing but she raised four big pups with fantastic weight gains while they were nursing, and all turned out to be really fine dogs.
If you KNOW you're special never give up
Further evidence of how SPECIAL I am! This winter Boss needed more leaders, so I got hooked beside my leggy sister Lizzy Lineout at double lead. I have been running my little legs off there, showing how STEADY and dependable I am. So I'm gonna be a leader, too! And now you can SEE me doin' it on Tonya's video!

I'm so proud! RECOGNITION and fame at last! Everybody's gotta go to Tonya of Seppala's page (she's in My Family) and see the video there. I'm up there running double lead with the Queen in the most bee-yoo-tiful video you ever saw, real authentic Yukon stuff of us running through a snowstorm. And I've even got two of my daughters (Delzene and Darka) in the team behind me. It's kinda funny in the video, 'cause I saw this GUY on the side of the trail and I didn't know who he was or what he was doing, so I hadda slow down and take a look when we passed by.
Ooooh, I'm just so HAPPY! "If you're happy and you know it, WAG YOUR TAIL!"
