Youngest fur brother livin' with oldest human sister....

Well, it's been forever since my furmom wrote anything so I decided to break out my paw and give it a shot. Dawson, my youngest furbrother has gone to live with my oldest human sister Claire. He was lost without her after she moved out since he basically was glued to her side at all times since he was a puppy. Now it's just me and the old man Max. He doesn't like to play with me much, but he doesn't mind cuddling. Guess he's just getting old and cranky (that's what my human mom keeps telling me anyway). Saturday, my human sis Claire brought Dawson and Ember, her Dalmation, over to play....we had a blast chasing each other and the frisbee around the back yard. I'm not good at catching the darn thing and I couldn't ever beat Ember to it, so I had to wait until he picked it up and try to yank it out of his mouth. Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!! Max wasn't allowed out to play. My human mom says he doesn't always play well with others....when Ember was a pup, he showed too much aggression, so now we have to leave him in the house while the rest of us play.

Mom won!!! So did I!!

We had an area outing here in Fredericksburg the first Sunday in October. Mom submitted a picture of me in a contest and she won "honorable mention" for the picture of me wearing my funky party collar. It was loads of fun. There were dogs from all over our home town participating in a parade and costume contest. Mom dressed me up like a French Maid...even down to the feather duster!! I was adorabull if I do say so myself. My costume won me 3rd place....I got a really cool gift bag with goodies for me in it!! The cool Lab that one 1st place was Christopher Columbus of the Rappahannock. She carried a HUGE ship on her back and her side kick, a small dog..not sure of the breed, carrier the treasure chest. They were great!! Definitely put a lot of thought into their project/costume!!

My brother Dawson went too. My human sister Claire dressed him up like Dracula....I think he was kinda scary looking....so he was dressed just right to be Dracula!! I think he looked great too. In fact, all the dogs that came that day were awesome. There was a weiner dog dressed up like a hot dog...too cute!! Lot's of treats given out and the poochies all had a great day!!

Poor Max had to stay behind. Mom says it's because he won't mind his manners when we're out. I felt bad for him so I brought him some treats of his own home. Mom got him a new bandana too!

Mom left me!!!

You're never gonna believe what my human Mom did to me.....she left me when she went away with the human children to the beach. Ok, so she didn't leave me alone.....she's not stupid ya know. She left me with my human grandmother. That lady has a crazy cat! The dern thing hissed and swatted at me.....dumb cat! I don't think the stupid thing realizes I could have taken her out in one pounce. She's evil!! I was ready to squash her like a bug....she didn't want to play with me. What's wrong with her? Doesn't she know that I'm always the center of attention and I get my way. Hmmmphf, Mom better figure out a better place for me to stay next time....better yet, I better get to go with her.

On Mom's behalf, she was staying with a relative who already had two dogs at her house. Mom thought it was best if I went to grandma's while my big brother's stayed at home and had a teenager come in to feed, water, walk and play with them. Hee, hee, hee.....they didn't get to torment the cat!!

Just another day

My human Mom tripped down the stairs with me this morning...she did a great job keeping me safe when she fell. She landed on her bottom (like me on a regular day, she had issues with the stairs this morning) and twisted her ankle. She missed the last three because she was half asleep (I woke her up at 3 a.m. because I had to potty). Thankfully we were both ok and Mom's ankle isn't bothering her much.

When Mom got off work, I went to visit my Mom's grandmother in the nursing home. She loves to cuddle with me. Everytime I visit (which is daily), she wants me to stay when its time for Mom to leave. Her roommate looks forward to my visits too. Mom says that I'm good for Gran and that she lights up when I come into the room.

My big brother Max got in lots of trouble this evening. He and Dawson were fighting and Dad got mad at Max for starting the fight. I felt bad because Max had to go in time out.

Memorial Day Harley Ride

I got to ride my dad's Harley today. They did the Rolling Thunder ride without me (good thing too, because it was hot as Haitis outside!) When they got home, I got to go to Carl's Ice Cream with them. It was my first ride on that noisy thing.....I think I like it. Wasn't too sure at first, but when I settled in, I really enjoyed feeling the wind in my fur. Mom....time for some Doggles!!
