   Leave a bone for Tucker

Tuckeroo, Chowderhead, Pumpkin, Mama's boy

Quick Bio:
-pound dog

I like swimming, MUD and playing with other dogs at Pt. Isabel.

Deer. Deer are evil. They lurk around my yard and I just don't like them.

Favorite Toy:
Anything that squeaks, tennis balls

Favorite Food:
Prairie Chicken. Yummmm.

Favorite Walk:
Point Isabel to swim, run and mark everything I can.

Best Tricks:
Tucker just became a certified Delta Pet Partner! He also sits, shakes, and knows how to dance.

Arrival Story:
He was in the Oakland pound with his sister when we came to look for a dog. We at first wanted to meet his sister, but he pushed in front of her and looked at us with such silly ears that we couldn't resist. You can see his pound picture to the side - he was about 35 - 40 pounds and finally topped out at 104!! Don't worry about his sister, Maggie was adopted by our neighbor.

During his first year his spots and merle coloring were very loud but no one knew what kind of dog he was, because he had short hair. Then, an old Southern man told me he was a Catahoula at the dogpark. (I thought he was kidding.) Then a few other people told me the same thing and I found the Catahoula websites and, sure enough, his personality was right there, along with his webbed feet and boundless energy (until he was two). After a year, his Shepherd coat came in and caused "tweeding" - a softening of his spots that is very common with a catahoula mix. So people don't recognize him so much as a Catahoula any more.

I've lived in in Austin now for over a year now. I love Austin because it smells really good , there are lots of deer to bark at, and I have a huge yard.

My toe hurts though. I don't know how I hurt it and no one can figure out whats wrong. Its really cramping my style. I wish my mom would stop taking me to the vet already. I hate x-rays.

We love Texas! Austin is cool, just like my brother and me. We spend a lot of time enjoying the big outdoors, yelling at deer and jackrabbits, and playing in the river. My brother now gets to yowl all he wants. The dog parks here are Grrrrrrreat!

Mexican Independance Day ! My brother Gilbert celebrated by counter-surfing a whole bag of tortillas and scattering them all over the house. What a brat.
