Can't wait until next agility trial!!

Wow mom just sent in an entry form for me and Blaze to enter an agility trial in Sept. She says we also get to do two or three trials in Oct!! Yay, I can't wait!!

My First USDAA trial!!! I got a Q!!!

It was in Starter Jumpers. Mom says I was very good and I listened to everything she said (although I went slow because I was nervous). I got a 2nd place & a Q!!! That was my first USDAA trial (I have only been to one other trial and that was TDAA). I also got a NQ & 3rd place in Standard yesterday. I NQ'd because I came off of the table, other than that I had a clean run though. = )

My First Agility Trial!!!!

Yeah!!!! Mom just signed me up for my first agility trial!! It is going to be a Teacup Dog Agility trial in November. I can't wait, it's going to be so much fun to go to my first agility trial!!!

Another Agility Class

I got to go to another agility class last night. Agility is soooo much fun!!!!! My instructor says that she sees alot of potential in me and that I remind her of her Pom, Cody, when he was younger!!! Cody was an amazing agility dog when he was younger. He would still love to do agility, but he is mostly blind now that he is 16yrs old. I am honored that I remind her of Cody when he was younger. I hope that I can keep reminding her of how much fun she has with him, while I have fun running with my mom in agility, the best sport ever!!! And may Cody have a long, happy life!!!

Another busy week

First on Thursday (June 1st) was my first agility class!!! I was so happy!! I finaly get to do agility like the big dogs! I was of course the star of my class. I already knew a few things so I was showing off in class. It was alot of fun, but I was REALLY tired after we got home and was ready for bed.

Then, last Sat (June 3rd) we went to an agility fun match. I have never seen an agility fun match before, but it was alot of fun!! I got to go out and do a few jumps!! That was FUN, you should have seen me fly over those jumps!! We also brought Carma, Tassie, and Sassy to the fun match and I was not happy that they got to run with my mom too. I think I should be the only one to run with my mom. But I still had alot of fun, and was very tired when we got back. Oh yeah, they also had a swimming pool there for dogs to swim in. Can you believe that some dogs like to get wet?! I HATE to be wet!!! My mom put me in the water while we were there. She said it would help me cool off, but I HATE getting wet, so as soon as she would let me I ran out and got as much of the water off as I could. I did feel cooler though.

The worst day of my life!!!

Yesterday started out pretty fun. We went to Books and Barks for Memorial day. They had a few doggie contests, and demos. There were agility, flyball, disc dog, and freestyle demos. Me my mom and Tassie went to the Books and Barks event. I got to do a few jumps and the dogwalk while they were not doing the demo and Tassie got to try out flyball and compete in the trick contest. Well while my mom and Tassie were doing the trick contest my mom put me in a crate at the rescue's booth (we were there with the rescue group we foster dogs for). While they were gone doing tricks a teenager from the rescue group decided to move me to a different crate so she could put her dog in the crate I was in (I was in the large wire crate). Another lady there told her not to take me out and to wait until my mom got back, but she wouldn't listen and opened my crate. I REALLY hate it when my mom leaves me somewhwere and shot out between her arms to go find my mom. But when I got out, I couldn't see her and people started chasing and grabbing at me!!! The lady with the rescue group yelled at everyone to stopp chasing me, but they didn't listen, so I ran!! I ran all over the place and couldn't find my mom, so I ran to a bunch of houses and hid. But when both times that I hid someone found me and tried to grab me, so I ran again. I finally found a really good hiding spot and stayed for there for a few hours, until everyone had gone, then I came out and walked around looking for my mom. After walking around I finally found my mom's car and sat next to it, hoping my mom would find me soon. Not long after I found the car, someone came around the school and called my name. I looked hard at the person, ready to run again, but it was my mom!!! So I ran as fast as I could (but I was already exausted and couldn't run fast) and I had to stop when I was about half way to her to make sure I really saw her and was not just making it up. Then I continued running to her and jumped into her arms & just laid down in her arms. It felt sooooo good to finally be back in her arms. The other volenteers from the rescue group were also there when I found my mom. My mom told me that those people who tried to catch me were only trying to get me back to her and not really trying to hurt me. Now I'm back home with my mom, Tassie and all the other dogs. My mom gave me a bath today because I had a few ticks holding onto my hair, but after a long nap, I'm feeling alot better.

My life till now

I was found as a stray and after two weeks of running from anyone I saw, the dog catcher caught me and brought me to the pound. I was very scared, and just wanted my family back, but they never came to look at me. Then I overherd the shelter staff talking about that I was going to be gassed because I was not friendly enough to be adopted out!!!! So I started coming up to everyone who came near my cage and being very friendly and they decided to let me be adopted. Then my mom saw my picture and info on Petfinder and she drove out the day I was being put up for adoption before the shelter opened to make sure she would be the first one there to see me. When the shelter opened she came and picked me up and it was love at first sight, she adopted me that day, but they kept me at the shelter until the next morning so I could get my shots and be neutered. So the next day I got to go home and meet my new family & mom named me Prince Caspian (from one of the Chronicles of Narnia books). I have now been living here for three months and don't like to let my mom out of my sight. I follow her everywhere. I wish I could have mom all to myself, but she tells me I have to share and can't be a bully towards the other dogs.
