Dog Beach

Mom took me to California. Wow...we had fun! It was a LONG drive there and I was restless, not knowing where we were going. But, when we got there, it was amazing! Mom rolled down the back windows so I could stick my nose out. I smelled the ocean breeze and couldn't wait to get my paws in the sand. Who knew there was a beach just for us? My mom is the greatest. She threw the ball for me non-stop.

Mom got us a room in California to stay the night. I was pooped when I got there. The hotel was ok, but mom had to walk me on the leash to go to the bathroom, instead of just walking out the dog door like I am use to.

Mom went to dinner with a friend she met when she was in high school. But, that's ok because I napped the whole time she was at dinner. The next morning, we woke up and went BACK to the beach. Whoa...twice in one weekend.

We threw the ball and swam again for a couple of hours. Then, mom treated me to a spa. I didn't like getting into the bath tub but once I did, it felt really good. Mom cleaned me up and got all the sand and salt water off of me. She got me smelling good for the ride back home.

The ride back home was long, just like going, but this time I wasn't restless. I think I slept the whole way home.

Ahhh, I love the beach!

I just celebrated my sixth birthday. It was so much fun. Mom took me and my roommate, Nala to Three Dog Bakery. I met new people, got lots of attention and lots of treats. It was great. I even left home with a box full of goodies. I've been eating one every day since my birthday. I even shared some with Nala and another friend I met last week, Pebbles.

I love birthdays!

Breast Cancer 3-Day walk

I am so proud of my mom. She has decided to walk in the Breast Cancer 3-Day. She's doing a lot of training walks and hikes and lets me join her when I can. It's so much fun. We've met lots of people and I've made new friends. She's have to raise money for the cause and I'm doing my best to help her. I told her that I'd tell ALL MY FRIENDS about her journey and ask for donations to help her out.

The 3-Day is a 60-mile walk benefiting the Susan G. Komen foundation. If you'd like to donate money in honor, support or in memory of, please do it through my mom's participation number. Simply visit www.the3day.org and search for my mom. Her walker # is 70057934.

Thank you for helping me help my mom.
