Just one thing

You know I bark at stuff. Lots of stuff. Maybe I don't bark at Quite as much stuff as Whitley, but, I am always "on".

But I am not dum. I know when it is 'portant to keep my mouth shut.

One thing I don't bark at.
I don't bark at coyotes.

We got 'em 'round here. They raise a ruckus down in the river bottom. We don't see 'em very often. But we hear 'em.

And I never bark when they are a-howlin. Now don't worry pups. I stay in my big fenced yard. If I am out of my yard, I am with Daddy. Always.

So's last evenin when a coyote started makin noise, real close, I kept quiet. I couldn't see this coyote, the wheat out in the field is too tall. But that coyote was closer than usual. He weren't down in the river bottom.

He was barkin bad stuff. "I know you are there little doggie. I hear you barking all the time. Come on, bark now, little doggie. I will come and get you. I will have you for dinner!"

Like I said, I am not dum. I kept my yapper shut. And when Mommy said, "let's go inside", I didn't wait for a second invite.

But that's the only thing I don't bark at.

Yeah, I ain't no dumbunny. Don't worry Fizz, it wasn't that bad. Just gotta be smart and not tempt those coyote guys.
I was just readin over in Schnauzers Rule that Skeebo Chased a coyote. Then he got in trubble with his mom.

As a side note: a lil kitty showed up here last Nov. She stayed and the folks got her spayed. With the warm weather, she liked to stay out alla time.
Now she isn't showin up. We haven't seen her since Monday. Don't know if a critter got her or she might have been hit by a car. It is rough out here in the wilds of Idunno.

I think I'm big enough where a coyote wouldn't bother me, but I am not taking chances. Mommy saw one in the front yard a couple of years ago so they are around here. I'm glad you are careful because a dog your size would make a nice snack for one of them!

It's a good thing you show those coyotes some respect and leave them alone. Now, hopefully I do the same thing...

Well, the resident barkaholic (Whitley) would bark dat coyote... she barks pit bulls, after all.....

They've seen coyotes around here occasionally, but not when us pups wuz out.... they're probably scared of Whitley... (bol, bol)...

As a Canine, you probably understood their primitive language and understood to keep quiet.

Mom's only sighting of a coyote was in Arizona in the early morning on a golf course. She thought it was a deer at first and then realized she needed her eyeballs checked. BOL
