If I could recapture
All of the memories
And bring them to life
Surely I would
Hear the distant laughter
Wasn't it you and me
Surviving the night
You're fading out of my sight
Swiftly
[Chorus:]
You're vanishing
Drifting away
You're vanishing
I was so enraptured
No sensibility
To open my eyes
I misunderstood
Now you're fading faster
It's suddenly hard to see
You're taking the light
Letting the shadows inside
Swiftly
[Chorus]
Reaching out into the distance
Searching for spirits of the past
Just a trace of your existence to grasp
And if somehow I could recapture
All of the memories
And bring them to life
Lord knows I would
But now you're fading faster
Getting so hard to see
Taking the light
Letting the darkness inside
Swiftly
[Chorus]

ROSEBUD
When God calls little puppies to dwell with Him above,
We humans always question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache can compare with the loss
of one small 'child',
Who does so much to make this world seem
wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires - always calling the aged to His fold,
And so He picks a Rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them
and so He picks but few;
To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult,
yet somehow we must try,
For the saddest word that mankind knows
will always be "good-bye".
And so when little pups depart;
We, who are left behind, must realize how much God loves puppies....
For angels are hard to find.

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
Its a black fly in your chardonnay
Its a death row pardon two minutes too late
Isnt it ironic... dont you think?
Chorus:
Its like rain on your wedding day
Its a free ride when youve already paid
Its the good advice that you just didnt take
Who wouldve thought... it figures
Mr. play it safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
Well isnt this nice...
And isnt it ironic... dont you think?
Repeat chorus
Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everythings okay and everythings going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everythings gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face
A traffic jam when youre already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
Its like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
Its meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isnt it ironic... dont you think?
A little too ironic... and yeah I really do think...
Repeat chorus
Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
Helping you out

Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.
Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear.
When it is cold and wet, please take me inside...for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements...and I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth...though had you no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land...for you are my god....and I am your devoted worshiper.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life, should your life be in danger.
And, beloved master, should the Great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather, hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest ...and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.

I burned the clothes today that I wore as I held your lifeless body. I had to burn them for many reasons.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust....
The hardest part of the day is the morning, when I wake up and you are not there and the night, when I used to put you to bed with me.
I remember all the little things about you.
- You sat on your front paws, folded under you.
- You followed me everywhere and loved me unconditionally no matter what.
- You hated to be wrapped in a blanket. You always sat on top on the blankets.
- You barely ate food, but loved what we ate.
- Our bed was the MECCA land for you.
- You loved Flossies and sausage-food (Dick Van Patten's food).
- Frisbees - doggie crack.
- You loved to chew plastic things, like the tops to my hair products and the squeakies out of your toys.
- You loved to nap with us on the couch, especially in your reserved favorite spot in Daddy's legs.
- You never barked too much - just enough to get attention to things you warranted where bad.
- You made the silliest sound when running after the frisbee, or your ball. Like you were in a fight with them.
- You hated clothes and you would stand like a cat until I took it off.
- If you didn't go outside to pee before bed, you would wake me up at 2 a.m. to pee.
- You always wanted me close to you.
- You peed all over the curtains...
- You peed on concrete, preferably over grass.
- You'd bark at all other dogs or cats, and then once they got close you wanted to be friends.
- You loved to lick the females.
- You loved Reggie the most of all the dogs.
- You loved the dog park and all the fun it had to offer.
- You loved Erika and Melissa, something about the female persuasion.
- You loved to hump Daphny the Dolphin and Tiger.
- You loved all your blankets, more than your toys.
- You loved the bathroom in the bedroom.
- You would go under the bed when you got scared, or if me and daddy were wrestling.
- You loved to sit in the sun all day and just stay warm.
- You loved to walk/run.
- You loved it most when all your family was home - Eric, Daddy, and Mommy.
- You loved to wake Eric up - you were so happy he was here.
- You loved the hot dog toy from Walgreens. You would roll around the floor with it and entertain yourself sometimes.
- You loved the car, windows down preferred.
- You loved Casey, and going to Sebring.
- You loved people and they all loved you.
- You hated the camera and its flash *but now Mommy has photos to remember you by
- You hated it when Mommy left the house, each and every time. If I forgot something and came back - you went in circles with joy.
- You loved to greet me when I got home each day.

I never realized all the uses for an umbrella.
It rained today but I needed to cover the tears, I needed to be avoided, unrecognizable, invisible. That is hard when you are such a loud person, a social butterfly.
I felt this surreal feeling without him. He was my baby and I loved each minute, each second with him.

Today Vinny went to heaven. I challenge the entire idea of heaven and I am so fearful that there is no afterlife. All I can do is pray that an afterlife exists for Vinny and that I will see him there.

Well! It has been a long time. Mommy is busy with school work this summer but we have spent a lot of time together. Things in SoFla are terrific but it is really hot. When Mommy and me go for our walk, I just can't stop panting!
I have a new toy - it is a frisbee...a special one that does not break. I LOVE FRISBEE! I could play all day but Mommy likes to put me into the pool - WHY???? I hate water.
Lastly, I am still single and looking for a girlfriend. Contact my Mommy if interested and we can have a play date.
Thanks!
Happy Bird Chasing!

I know I have not written in a while. Sorry 'bout that! Mommy and Daddy are great! They love me and feed me me. Mommy loves to them me on walks. 30 minutes is average because I am a lil' guy! But not that lil! Yesterday I went to the vet and I am 9.75 lbs!! Man, puberty went by fast!!!
Other than that, I am able to jump on the couch but I don't really like to...I got my doggie lo-jack system yesterday but I never really cry at the vet's office. He is pretty cool and I LOVE attention!
