I have been having to listen to Angel Zoom Smokey complaining about her life, and the mistreatment she is enduring because of the humans and their stupidity. I think that, by age 6, she should know the humans are stupid and not expect much from them. However, she is one of those overly optimistic type of dogs who still have faith that the humans might actually have a working brain that they use. Here is her problem. The other day, the humans had to leave us alone for about half an hour in the house while they were gone to the post office. While they were gone, Angel Zoom Smokey got a little sick and had a case of pooparea. She tried to get out so that she wouldn't go in the house, but she couldn't make it because the humans had her in an extra bedroom. She ended up getting all of it on her favorite Santa Claus throw pillow which she carried to her "spot" at Christmas time and refused to give back to the humans when Christmas was over. This is the problem. She loves that pillow, and I can't blame her for loving it. The pillow is soft, and it has Santa's "face" on it so that she can tell him what she wants for Christmas anytime she feels like it. When the humans came home and saw the pillow covered with poop, they were nice about it. No on got onto her because they are wise enoough humans to know that she couldn't help what happened. However, their solution was to throw the pillow away. Yes, Angel Zoom Smokey's favorite pillow is now in the garbage waiting to go to a landfill. Angel is so mad...she doesn't understand why the humans don't just wash it. I told her that, when it comes to poop, the humans always act crazy. You'd think a little poop would kill them...or are they sneaking it aside for future snacks?

Hmmm, this is a delicate dilemma. My momma would have tried to wash it, and if that didn't work, then it would have been thrown out. Course, they also be sneaking it for a snack like you said. Weird people these humans!

Most times the peepoles are just lazy. They coulda tried to wash the poop off. But same thing happens 'round here. Stuff gets thrown out just 'cause of a little poop or bark or icky stuff.

Maybe Angel will feel better if she thinks of sum poor homeless family and their dog, riflin through the junk at the dump and findin the poopy Santa pillow. They will take it back to their station wagon parked in a vacant lot and put the pillow to good use.

That's a tough one my people would have rinsed it off outside then thrown it in the washer and seen if it was okay after that. If it wasn't they would have thrown it away. Now mind you they didn't do that when I was a puppy and crawled on the table and pooped in candy bowl with the tootsie rolls they just threw them all away...wasting a good bowl and candy. They said "Pick your battles."

Evidently, Mommy said the pillow was not "washable". It was one of those fancy Christmas type pillows that would get ruined in the washer. Mommy thought of taking the pillow off and letting me keep the inside, but then it wouldn't have been my "Santa" pillow anymore. I guess I'll just have to wait until Christmas when I can claim the other one she has.LOL
