Back again!!

Boy, I can't believe it has a been a year since I wrote in my diary. Alot has happened in that year. Well, on Sept. 1st of 2008, my mom and dad thought I needed a friend. So they had gone to town and found my little sister, Ophelia, who is an Iggy. Boy, I really didn't like her at first, it took me a few days to get along with her but then I liked playing with her. Mommy said it was good for me because I did lose some weight as I have to run to keep up with her. I do like her but there are days when I just want to be alone with my family. I get a little impatient with her when she wants to play with mommy and daddy and I need to get in her way. She also likes to sleep by me all the time and likes to like me lots too. But I miss her when she is gone.

Also we are taking care of my grandma and my grandpa. Sometimes I get to go by myself and run on their arce of land. It is so much fun, just to run and play. Sometimes Ophelia goes to and she runs alot faster than me and can jump all the big mud puddles but it is fun to play with her and my humans.
Well, it is getting cold here in Colorado tonight so I think I will go sleep under the covers now. See you.

Long time

It has been a long time since I have written. Alot has happened since I last wrote. We moved back to our old hometown. I get to see Arah everyday now. I also get to see bunnies, lots of doggies, and bark at the kids who play in the yard. I love to be back home. We take Sam to school everyday, his school is about 20 mins away, so we go on a ride everyday. I get to see cows, horses and other wild things. well, I guess that's all for now.

What a ride!!

We went for a ride up to Twin Lakes then went up to Independence Pass. We stopped to see the old mining ghost town of Independene. It was pretty chilly up there as there was still at least 2 to 3 feet of snow left on the mountains, the pass takes us up to Aspen. It was a pretty busy town, and no daddy wouldn't let mom do any shopping there!! Then the ride home took us thur Glenwood Springs, Avon, EleJelleBell (?), Carbondale, Eagle, Minturn, on I70 thur tunnels, beautiful scenery, and up Battle Mountain Pass and Tennesse pass and Leadville. It took 5 hours and we stopped and looked around for awhile. It rained on the last two passes and it was so neat to see all the clouds and rain. I just love living here it was a good day. My daddy drives to all those places for his job but it finishes off this week, then Daddy moves back to Alamosa. Mommy is a little sad since daddy was in this part of Colorado he came home almost every night or at least on the weekends. But when daddy works in Alamosa he does not get to come home on weekends and doesn't always have two days off in a row. Mommy, Sam and I miss him alot. We wished he could move back, maybe someday. We could move with daddy but even daddy wants to stay here in BV, Sam is doing well in his small school and has a lot of friends here and I have lots of friends here too. We know alot of families whose daddy's work somewhere else and then come to visit their families here, so mommy isn't alone in that, but it is still hard for us. I miss playing with daddy all the time. Well, it is getting pretty late and I am tried I will write later.

Lots of company!!

On Sunday, Sammy got confirmed at his church, so we had a party for him afterwards. We had lots of company. It was so neat to see everyone. But mom and dad wouldn't let me jump and see everyone. But I got to see my mommy's friend Denise. She told everyone I was just so excited to see everyone at my house and wanted to play and be loved. And I was loved alot. I also helpped Daddy grill hambugers. they smelled so good. Mommy gave me a little of hers. Then yesterday when we were coming home from getting milkshakes we saw a fox right by our mailbox. He was so pretty standing there. We stopped and just watched him as he watched us. then mommy left, because she was pretty sure he was going to go hunting for the kits. We have some kits in the backyard and mommy said i have to be good and quiet so we don't scary them. We watched them the other day as their mommy was moving them to a better den, that we put up for them so they won't get moved out, our neighboors are moving a lot of junk and they moved their den that was under an old school bus. My family got mad that they would do that right when they had kits, so mommy called the forest service and asked what we could do and we builded a new den and they moved in there. They will be safe there until it is time for them to move on.
I have also seen lots of deer. We also watched the kaykaers do some neat moves on the river in Salida. Now my human sis wants to learn how to do that. So she is going to start taking lessons next week. Sam got a new mountain bike so did dad. now they have to get me something so I can ride in too. I hope they do it soon!!

Went on a ride.

My family and I went on a ride yesterday and today. Yesterday was great as we went up to the old railroad track road and we went thur some old rock tunnels. The old railroad track road used to connect Buenie and Leadville in the old mining days. They built tunnels out of the rock side, They were really neat to see and they were cold to enter in. They also had icicles hanging from the sides of the rocks. We also saw a lot of people fly fishing on the river.
Today we went to Salida and took the back way with all the ranches. I was so excited to see all the cows, saw some deer, and saw some antolpe. It was a good day.

New hat.

Yesterday my human sis came to visit us . We played and played then yesterday we went shopping and she bought me a new hat. Yuck!! Everyone thinks I look so cute in it. I did keep it one for a long time yesterday. Today Sammy put it on me again. We went shopping again and everyone who saw me in the car just couldn't believe how cute I was. It is getting better to wear. I even wore it when daddy came home. Mommy said if I wear it for 10 to 20 mins a day I will get used to it. I don't think so, mommy thinks she is so smart, just wait and see. I will win this one!! Arah took pics so mommy will download them and put them on my site soon.

Happy Easter!!

Today was a good day, the Easter bunny left me a new moose toy and my favorite raw hide bone with real meat inside. Then my family went for a ride. We were hoping it would be nice to go fishing but it was snowing but it was warmer than it was all weekend. Oh, my daddy came home for the day, but has to go to WY tomorrow. Then on Friday we are going to go to Breckenridge (Breck) to see Daddy. Hope everyone had a great Easter!!

Back to school!!

Well, spring break is over!! It went to fast. We went to visit my human sis and we got snowed in that morning. Lots of snow but loved to play in it with my dog cousins. Then we came home to visit daddy but daddy was sick, so didn't feel like playing to much. My human sis came to visit for two days and then we were going up to see daddy at his work on the road but mommy got sick, then we were going to go shopping at the big city and go to petsmart but sammy got sick that morning. I don't know what the flu is but I don't like it. Now mommy and sammy have strep. All mommy says is that she wishes it would become warm and kill all the bad germs. It did snow almost all last week and it has been cool, sometimes cold. Everyone wants warm weather. It is spring after all. Maybe today!!

getting ready for spring break!!

Well, yesterday we started to get ready for spring break Mom thought she had better go wash the car as she hasn't done it all winter. So we went to the car wash, mom and sammy washed the car. I had to stay inside. I tried to help by washing the inside windows with my tongue, so mom went home to clean the mess I added too. I love to go on rides and all the windows to the Durango were dog kissed. Mom didn't clean them for a long time, so we did yesterday, then we went to supper. Mom said the dog kisses really helpped with the glare of the sun. She just didn't know that until we cleaned the windows.
We are going to go to Alamosa to visit family today after sammy gets out of school. Then we come home tommorrow as my daddy is coming home. Then we are going to go with my daddy to do his training for his store. We are going to go to Moab, UT, Steamboat, Granby, Breck, and to Rawlings, WY. Oh, forgot Vail. Mom and Sammy are excited to go somewhere different. Dad saw a moose in Granby last week so mom is hoping to see some too. She helpped get the area ready for moose when she worked for the forest service in high school. She also worked in Steamboat Springs, so mom cann't wait to see the map they worked on and the totem pole they did for the dance camp there. It has changed alot but mom can't wait to show Sam some of the places she worked at and the hot springs she mapped out. Should be a fun week.
