   Leave a bone for Braxton

Brax-man, Braxy, Munchkin, Munchkin-man, Braxtaboo, Sir Braxton

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

September 16th 2000

Brax loves to play with his stuffed animals, and he loves stealing socks!

When people try to take his toys from him, having his paws touched, thunderstorms, and the dastardly vacuum!

Favorite Toy:
His stuffed coffee cup, his hedge hog, and his Bailey & Booger bears!

Favorite Food:
The cookies that my mommy bakes for me!

Favorite Walk:
Around the neighborhood, where we usually meet up with his doggie friends from the building.

Best Tricks:
Stealing his mommy's stuffed animals! Oh, I'm also a labyrinth guide. First, you must answer question number 2: Who said "We'll send you a Hogwarts toilet seat!"? Now seek out the pup who gave me my first taste of watermelon. You'll find the path there!

Arrival Story:
My baby, Chipper, who was with me for 15 years passed away on Feb 9th, 2005. Losing him was devastating, and I swore I'd never get another dog. A few months later, I was just browsing through the dogs on PetFinder for my Mom, and I came across Braxton's picture. He was so cute and had had a rough time of things, as he had to have an eye removed. However, I wasn't ready for another dog. Months later, in September 05, I went on PetFinder again. I couldn't believe it when I saw Braxton's cute little mug still looking fur a home. I felt so sad fur him, and this time I sent an application. I went to meet him a couple of weeks later and fell in love with him. A few weeks later, Braxton came to live with me...and the rest is history :)

Braxton only has one eye...he has a very severe case of dry eye, and whomever had him befur he went to the shelter did not treat him fur it. The retina in his left eye ruptured and the dogters at the shelter had to remove the entire eye. When I got him, his right eye was in danger of being seriously damaged, as well. But, we started a course of treatment right away and the improvement is great! He does not have the best vision in the eye, but the danger of him losing it has passed (paws crossed, fur good!). His ophthalmologist is one of the best in the country, and we are so grateful to him fur all he has done to help!

Woof, Everypup!

Once again, mommy and I will be participating in the Pups for Parkinson's Walk held here on Long Island. On Sunday, April 18th, we will be walking in honor of one of our closest and dearest friends in the world! Parkinson's is a horrible disease, and funds are needed to help find a cure fur this debilitating, rude illness!
Pawlease ask your pawrents if they would sponsor me in the matter how big or small the donation, it would mean so much and be so appreciated!! Follow the link below to become a sponsor and to learn more about "Pups for Parkinson's!"

Thank you, dear pals!!

Spon sor Braxton :-)
