We had lost our beloved lab Kelsey in May 2003 and when our son Todd and granddaughter Sage came to visit in July 2003, we went to the Humane Society to see if there was a "special" dog who needed a loving home. After meeting dozens of wonderful dogs, Hutch just adopted us. We knew he was the right dog when Sage accidentally kicked him and all he did was lick her to death. We had found our new special boy!
Bio:
Little did Hutch know when we found each other that he had really hit the jackpot. He went from being a homeless dog to living in paradise in one afternoon. We lived less than a block from the beach and he spent every morning and late afternoon playing on the beach with mommy and/or daddy. The best days were when we all spent an afternoon at the beach with Hutch fetching water toys from the ocean -- what a swimmer! Since then, we moved to a new house and were compelled to build a pool so Hutch could continue his swimming. For most of the year, our swimmer is in the pool every day, diving in after balls and pool toys. He is a great diver and still a GREAT swimmer........
UPDATE 11/30/2012: we lost my beloved best friend today. He valiantly fought his illness for almost a year, but he told us overnight that it was his "time". I am crying as I write this, and I will never forget this beautiful boy. Rest well Hutchie.
