Likes: playing w/other dogs, chasing rabbits, snuggling, licking people senseless, hearing her name, the "Find Mama" game (I hide, she seeks), rolling in stinky things, sticking her head out the sunroof, digging enormous holes for no apparent reason
Pet-Peeves: when 0ff-leash playtime ends, "the evil nail-trimmer of death," closed doors (when Mommy's on the other side!), seeing other dogs out of the car window, baths, when I leash-walk her brother or sister w/o her
Favorite Toy: balls, giant sticks, big bones, cow hooves, rope bone tug-of-war
Favorite Food: chicken and pork, baby carrots with ranch dressing, and McDonalds' double cheeseburgers - plain
Favorite Walk: The Lafayette Dog Park - tons of potential playmates!!!
Best Tricks: turning on the water spigot in the backyard so she can drink from the hose!
Arrival Story: I went to the TCHS, April 24, 2005, and the dog that I had come to foster had been adopted. I thought, "I'll just take a look around." One look at her face, those beautiful golden eyes, big paws and nun-hat ears and I was a goner. She came home with me that afternoon.
Bio: "Maddie" (the name she arrived with at the TCHS) was found by a family and then surrendered three weeks later because "she jumped on their daughter" (hello ... she was a puppy - that's what puppies do!). When I adopted her at four or so months old, I changed her name to Trixie (her middle name,"Anastasia," is the feminine form of "Anastasios" = resurrection). She was shy, full of worms and very thin, and, about a week after adoption, developed a nasty bronchial infection that took over a month to cure. Now, Trixie is one healthy, happy, goofy, gorgeous girl! She loves to "talk," and is a major tail thumper! Trixie is into Led Zeppelin, Xtreme sports, true crime shows (Forensic Files, America's Most Wanted, etc.), home improvement projects and Feng Shui.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
What a "loveacious lovey love" you are! So many kisses! So much wagging of that magnificent, glorious, thick tail! One minute you are a goofy clown, the next, a regal queen.
Your arrival completed my "family" - yet another gift from God.
Mommy is a member of the ASPCA and has their web-site as one of her "favorites." They are celebrating 140 years of protecting animals and asked for photos of companion pets helping to celebrate by wearing orange. Mommy sent my photo first, because I'm a natural "orange" and because we (Dudley, Daisy and I), wear orange safety collars when we go to the trail or park to play. I'm on the ASPCA website already!
