Birthday: October 15th 2000 Likes: FOOD, truck rides, gopher hunting, chasing squirrels, coffee Pet-Peeves: touching his toys, getting wet, dogs with balls Favorite Toy: right now - His ducky Favorite Food: cheese, coffee, ice cream, peanut butter Favorite Walk: anywhere - especially if there is something to "hunt" Best Tricks: is sneaking food off your plate and counter surfing a trick? Arrival Story: At 5 years old, I found myself looking for a new home. After being
in the shelter around a month, my new mom came and looked at
me. She was there to look at rabbits to replace one she lost. Since there were no rabbits that caught her eye, it wouldn't hurt to "just look" at the dogs.
Unlike all the other dogs, my ploy was to appear like
a quiet, little angel. Well I guess I made an impression, 1 week
later I went to my new home!
I sure was happy to leave the shelter but I it took awhile to get used to my new home. At first I was afraid my new family would leave me too. I didn't like them to leave the room, EVER. I think I annoyed my new parents in the beginning with my barking all night and "walking habits" - what's wrong with pulling your people along? After a few weeks and some training we settled into a routine and I wasn't so worried they would take me back to the shelter. Bio: I am an 86 pound "house dog". I get at least 4 walks a day - Grandma comes over to dog sit and walk me during the week. The best guess is that I am part husky and part german shepherd. My 2 favorite things are truck rides and going out ANYWHERE. Forums Motto: Yes, I can see out of my blue eye The Groups I'm In: !!!! SQUIRRELS! 2. my humans left food for me on the counter TWICE! yay! I LOVE food!
one evening they left me 3 fish tacos, those were good, but they forgot to unwrap them for me and I didn't really enjoy the paper or limes, so I left them for mommy to clean up around the house. Then, the very next morning, daddy left breakfast for me on the same counter - that wasn't as good since it had no meats, and he seemed kind of mad when i ate it...
I'm gonna make sure to check the magic food spot from now on! sweeeeeeeet!
Well my pup pals - as you can see, I have been quite the slacker in updating my diary...
My 2007 holidays were fun.
Halloween - Mommy made me wear a costume on my evening walk - even though I had to wear clothes, at least she dressed in a matching costume and we both got compliments.
Thanksgiving - I had lots of good eats, INCLUDING a yummy cake that was left on the counter for ME. My mommy didn't seem to happy when she saw the bites I took, I guess she didn't want me to eat it right then... she yelled at me (woof woof woof something something) and then threw the rest in the trash - hmmm, weird.
Christmas - I got lots of presents as usual - the best is my new bed, which I LOVE. It's a big bean bag and sooooooooooooo comfy.
