Arrival Story:
We had planned to go to opening day at Wrigley Field in April of 2003, but the game got snowed out (yes snowed out, this is Chicago after all) -- so we decided to get a dog instead. I just started working from home and my husband traveled a lot for work, so we thought it would be good for me to have some company. We found Elsa (who's name was originally Crystal -- yuck!) at the Anti Cruelty Society. She stuck her nose through the bars of her crate to lick me on the face and I immediately fell in love.
