It's my birthday!

Wooooohooo WOOF! 8 years old I become today. Bit gray, but still very active and crazy :-)

I have been tagged. At first we had no idea what we are supposed to do. But we give it a shot.

1. I'm a real lady. I even cross my paws when I lie down.
2. Ravasz has a special place in my heart, he's my best friend.
3. When I was young I was dumped on the streets and the police brought me to a shelter. Now I'm adopted.

5. Sleeping on the sofa is another loved thing. I love lying there when my bos is working next to me. I get cuddles :-)

It's my birthday!!

I didn't realize at first. A bit after 12 last night, when I was sleeping on the sofa, Fenne gave me a verrry big hug and wished me all the best. Still drowsy, I just enjoyed the cuddles :-)
But this morning, when the sun was rising, I suddenly realized that I had become a year older.
Normally you don't ask a lady her age, but I don't mind. Today I'm 5 years old, and we'll celebrate that!
I enjoy the cuddles and some people sended me an sms with happy birthday :-)) That's sooo sweet! I cherish the thought that they think of me :-))
Fenne has a great idea too. This afternoon we go for a long walk on one of my favourite places. That's going to be great. The sun is shining, spring is arriving... I'm looking forward to it!

Another special thing, my birthday is at the same day als Fenne's moemoe (granny). But there's a slightly difference in age :-). Of course, I can't tell you her age.
We find it most regrettable that we can't visit her. Fenne can of course, and she will, but dogs are not allowed where she lives right now :-(. After being ill she's a bit demented and needs special care. I would love to see her, she's always very sweet for me and she likes me too.
Plus we have read that dogs are a very good stimulation for older persons, and at some hospitals and some old people's homes they have special dogs wich cuddle with the patients and entertain them. I would be a very good dog to do that! But, in Belgium, they aren't that mature I guess.

Anyway, moemoe, we wish you a splendid birthday, and we love you very much!

Back in town

First, I like to thank everyone that visited my page, said lovely words, liked to be my friends, ... I'm really honored!
Being away last week, I couln't answer the e-mails or requests that I recieved, but I hope I did all of them now.
Now, I'm really going to sleep, it's late and we're very tired of our trip back home and the past active week!

Woehoeeeee Dog Of The Day!!

Hi all dogs who come to visit me :-), thanks to check out my page!!!xxx

It's just a very busy day today. This night we leave our flat country and exchange it for the lovely and impressive mountains of Austria. We have to travel for 9 ours by car before we reach our goal, but I think it will be fun. Mostly they stop a lot of times so that we, dogs, can play a little, have a drink, walk,...

But of course our bags don't pack itselves, it would be wonderfull but they don't. So Fenne, J and their friends have busy times washing, packing, going to the shop,... We only have to be peaceful, but that's nog always easy! They carry around food, balls, our beds, leashes,...And we can feel it in the air, there's something going on. I know what is means, the blue travelling bag, our red traveling bag,.. But Ravasz does not understand it entirely, I think that's normal, he's just a year old, he hasn't travelled a lot yet.

Having the prospect of this long ours travelling by car, leaving at 5a.m. , Fenne has planned to go for a long walk with us this afternoon. We are going to "Oelegem". That's a really fantastic place. There's a fortress for bats, but that's not of our concern. We 'll go to the pond were we can swimm, chasing ducks, run,... and there's also a forrest. It's a doggie-playground, it's incredibly! Also, a few of our friends are coming to Oelegem: Evita & Ylena ( dogo argentino) and Digioia ( lagotto romagnolo). It will be great.
And hopefully for Fenne and her friends, we'll be tired of playing and sleep most of the trip.

Oh yes, I almost forgot to tell, now Ravasz left the room for a few seconds,...yesterday he did not pass out away when he got his vaccinations. I'm prouds of him. He only looked very very very depressed when he saw the doctor coming with the needle...poor Ravasz.
Last year when he was just a little puppy, he also needed vaccinations. A few seconds after it was injected, he started to wobble and a bit later he slided to the floor. Beneath his skin he was very pale. I think he was really pitiful.
But now he's a big boy :-)

Hihi, he doesn't like it, me telling his story. I think he's a bit shy about that incident.:-))

Our pre-vacation walk was great, we had a lot of fun together,...and we're tired :-). Fenne en J are packing the last stuff and are going to sleep after that. We're all very excited.

Anyway, to all dogs from around the world who visited me today, THANKS!! I really liked beeing the Dog of the Day!!

beyond rainfall

This week it has been a lot cooler than the past weeks. Ravasz and I prefer the active life again. Instead of sleeping and seeking for cool places we love to run and play again!

A few times we went to a dog-playing- field were we could run and played games with Fenne. She was hiding somewhere and we had to find her as quickly as we could. When we found her, she gave us very Mmmmmmmm-cookies! :-)
Most of the times, I was there first, not because I was the best seeker, but Ravasz also liked to have a pee. pff

On Saturday, there was a fishing contest, organized by Pallieter ( dog-school). Fenne was signed up togheter with 2 friends, but she doesn't like to catch fishes, she hates it actually. She thinks it's a gruesome, cruel to fishes and selfish game. However, she likes spending time with her friends and taking pictures, and there's swimming water, and a forrest were we can play.

Sunday was also a very cool day, in the morning we went to Hasselt for our rescue-dog-training. After that we went to Pallieter. Normally Ravasz had to take a test but Fenne was driving and we were to late for that. So we just sat there in the warm sun, before we went for our Sunday- walk at Oelegem. For the evening we were invited at Leen's house.

vacation; the sequel

We didn't have a lot of time to write here :-) Lucky us :-)

Thursday was a very special day, in the afternoon we went to visit Lola. Lola is the second Transsylvanian hound in Belgium. She was also adopted in Hungary but now lives here with a new family. In the beginning Lola was a little bit afraid of us, but after a while she wanted to play, ran with us through the woods and even bit Ravasz in his thigh :-). During playing, running and acting crazy, poor Lola had her first meeting with water, some other dog accidentally pushed her and she fell in the pond.

busy times!

My boss has 2 weeks vacation, she has a lot of work to do for school but reserves a lot of time for us.
The first week she often went for long walks with us and also trained Ravasz to bark when she says "woef" :-) She thought it would be very difficult to teach him that because normally he only barks sporadic but he's a clever dog :-)

The second week is still going but we had also had a lot of great moments. Besides the usual long walks in the park and meetings on the dog-garden we went for a long walk on Sunday with our friends Yirco and Perro. It was a beautifull afternoon with a lot of sun on one of the first warm days of this year. I went for a swim, the water was nice, a little bit coolish but as long I kept swimming very enjoyable! Yirco the labrador also went for a swimm but only if his owner throwed the ball. Ravasz en Perro didn't like the water, they think it's just for drinking and keeping paws clean. :-)

On monday we went to Perro's home to take him with us for a walk. We were still a little tired from the day before but we enjoyed seeing him. Fenne calls us the 3 musketeers. :-)

Tuesday was the day that Xana came back home, we went for a visit at her garden. The sun was somethimes gone but we kept ourself warm with playing and wrestling

We are now extremely tires so as soon as this message is posted we'll go out like a light, we're not able to keep our eyes open any longer...
