Arrival Story:
Kimo was found by animal control and the shelter called me to see if I was interested in him. I was able to locate the original owner and the second owner who identified him and gave me his paperwork. No one really knows what his third owner did to him but he was almost starved to death when animal control found him. He literally had no resouces left on his body. He has his forever home now and I love him dearly.

Bio:
Kimo is Canandian Champion, Last Dance of the Midnight Sun, and has 16 wins, including Best in Sweepstakes of all working dogs. Kimo is bi-eyed with a brown right eye and a left blue eye and has a wonderful lively gait. He is a loving, gentle guy who acts like the grandpa to the Chihuahua and the Miniature Pinscher and keeps Mikhah and Arashi in line. He woo woos for his dinner if I am lating fixing it and will leap and spin with joy to his feeding place and loves the left over cat food on biscuits. SADLY, MY BELOVED KIMO WAS CALLED HOME ON JULY 2, 2004. He had his 2 or 3 biscuits with the left over cat food but wouldn't eat his breakfast. Around 10:30 I petted his head and kissed him and said "Aren't you feeling good honey?" and he turned a little bit. I left for less than a minute and as I was coming back into the kitchen he lifted his head toward me and cried and howled and as soon as I reached him he died. I called the vet as soon as he collapsed and they said to bring him in immediately. I performed CPR and rescue breathing for about 10 minutes but I was unable to revive him. I let the other animals say their goodbyes before taking him to the vet. The vet and staff were exceptional and placed him in a room so I could spend some last moments with him for as long as I needed. The vet said it most likely was a stroke or a heart attack. My beloved Kimo will be cremated so he will be with me always. I had just brushed him that morning as he was blowing coat and a friend on Sibernet will make a dreamcatcher and a pillow with Kimo's, Mikhah's & Arashi's fur for a keepsake. So my precious boy you will be forever in my heart and until we meet again at Rainbow Bridge when God calls me home. Many tears will have crossed this face in your absence and great joy when I remember your smile when you were running, your determination to be the best, your place as alpha (after me of course) of the pack, your love of your blankie to sleep on in the middle of the kitchen floor, your love of cat food on your biscuits, the way you tipped your head way over when you were interested in something, and the way you hung your head downward when I scratched your back or rubbed your tummy while you were standing and I think most of all, I will miss how you always tried to get another bedtime biscuit by standing in your crate backwards and carrying it downstairs to eat on your blankie. I am so glad I gave you the 4th biscuit at 3:00 AM and hid it in your blankie as a surprise. Sleep in peace my precious one. I love you Kimo forever in my heart until I see you again. Mom
