To "talk"...any rotting carcass he can find.
Not getting to his mommy.
Anywhere mommy is.
After researching various breeds and looking for one that would both do well with other animals (we have a zoo here) and with my grandbabies, we hit upon the Spinone. I did a search (don't even remember what I was using as search parameters) and came upon his wonderful breeder and found she had just had a litter of puppies. We were extremely fortunate in that she still had puppies available. We are hoping to show Giovanni as well as work him in hunting (with his sister Autumn), with our breeder's guidance, help, and direction.
Gio has fit in great with his brothers (Howie, Oscar, Mikey and Seamus) and with his sisters (Autumn and Misty). He seems to love "his" grandbabies and follows my two year old grandson all over the yard when they are outside. He is a sweetheart who hasn't figured out that biting and nipping hurts mommy, daddy, and his human neice and nephew yet. However, he has started giving wonderful kisses now without breaking mommy's skin on her lips! He also loves to talk back with growls, yips, barks and howls! You can find pictures of his doggy mommy (Charrah) and his doggy grandma (Allee) here on dogster. His doggy daddy's name is Opie. He is going to be a character and sleeps and plays constantly with Autumn. He tries a bit to play with Howie, however, Howie just looks at him wondering who this little "flea" is that is pestering him! Oscar sniffs him occasionally, but growls at him just to let him know who is boss! ;oD Update: He's not so little anymore, but a gentle giant at heart!

My mommy was looking through all of our puppy friends here on Dogster and she found a photo that she thought was me! It wasn't me though; it was my grandma Alle. Mommy says I used to look like my doggy mama (Charrah), then I changed to look like my doggy grandma, Alle! Sheesh. My human mommy gets so confused at times! Apologies to my human grandma for mommy's mistake. Anyway, mom and dad bought me a new toy duck that quacks. I love my duck and I am often carrying it around in my mouth making my low rumbles. Mom loves when I rumble like that. It always makes her giggle. My poor mom is so worried about me right now, though. She found a lump on my back, right near my spine. It doesn't really bother me much but mom worries. Daddy is taking me to the doctor's office this morning (I have to get a bordetella shot too), along with Misty (my cat sister) who is having a high old time peeing on mine and Oscar's beds. Mom and Dad are none to pleased with Misty for this shenanigans. They are hoping that she gets some medicine and is all better soon. I recently lost my brother Zeke (a Bloodhound) because someone came by our yard and opened our gate for the heck of it. When we went outside for our last potty, Oscar, Zeke, and I all went out to explore. Daddy found me pretty quickly as I didn't venture far from home (I don't like to leave my mom). He woke up mommy and all three of us went driving for two and a half hours looking for my brothers. We couldn't find them! Mommy and daddy were so worried. About 4 a.m., Oscar came back home after a happy night of gallivanting the neighborhood. Zeke never came home. Over the next week, he was spotted a couple of times but no one could catch him. Then after 5 days, Zeke ran out onto the highway and was hit by a semi. My poor mommy and daddy. I don't like when they cry. Recently Zeke's breeder offered mom and dad a new puppy. This is so good because I will have a new playmate! Yay! That old Oscar is no fun. He doesn't play well and all he ever wants to do is to race around the yard. What is the point in me playing that game? Hmmm? We already know who will win that race!
