Mel Gibson was forced to call in police on Wednesday after a DVD copy of his new movie "The Beaver" was stolen from his mailbox outside his Los Angeles home.
Production bosses at Summit Entertainment sent Gibson a copy of the film, directed by Jodie Foster, so he could view the final cut before its world premiere at the upcoming South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas.
Gibson screened the picture at his home earlier this week and placed it back in his mailbox ready for collection by a courier on Wednesday.
But the DVD was nowhere to be found when the delivery man arrived to pick up the package - prompting Gibson to report the incident to local authorities.
- OR - this was the most Mel Gibson could do to drum up some hype about his new movie which will probably tank cos everyone (race, religion, gender) he's offended (including all y'all that got called "sugar tits") is sure to boycott this and any other movie he makes.
he needs help!!
I can't help but ask why would Mr. Gibson even work with Ms. Foster? Isn't he afraid of her?
One doesn't put a not-yet-released-movie into the mailbox to be returned. It's not Netflix for dogs-sake!
That's a stupid, stupid lie.
You are right, Daisy. He's just drumming up publicity.
BOL! Two of my favorite things....a good Crazy Mel Gibson story AND a good Beaver story! Neither topic ever lets me down.
